PALIN VS BACHMAN IN THE 2012 GOP RACE

Before anyone reads this as an endorsement for either Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman, don't! It is still much to early in the race for me to decide who I will endorse in the 2012 run for The White House. All I can tell you now is that it will NOT be Obama!

Now on to the reason for this post. I like both Palin and Bachman very much. They are strong no holes barred conservatives who have no problem taking on the hard issues and stating exactly what they think regardless of the consequences from the press or those that oppose them. Both have strong attributes that benefit the GOP both now and in the future. The similarities of both ladies in their views and stance on today's issues is what proposes the problem with both entering the GOP race for 2012.

Both Palin and Bachman have large and strong followings in the Tea Party movement and both hold the respect of Tea Party members and with conservatives who may or may not be part of the Tea Party. Neither have a particularly strong following with Independents and both are out of the country club class of Republicans which of course is a good thing. The GOP establishment does not like either of these fine ladies. That is to their favor in every way.

But it is the fact of their similarities that poses a problem for both Palin and Bachman running for the GOP nomination in 2012. Now whether either can gain the nomination or not is still much in question and polls show that while both show high in the polling neither at least currently holds the top spot in the polls or any more than a 15% following even when they show high in the polls. None of which bodes well in gaining the nomination because the numbers just don't hold, at least for the moment.

But setting all of that aside since it is still very early in the race and numbers can change dramatically over even the next several months, both Palin and Bachman are straight shooters and both are among the most honest and real, genuine people in the public spotlight especially looking toward the 2012 nomination.

Of the two Palin is much better known than Bachman and in some ways that is one of her negatives. Not because those that know her and like her are the problem but she has gained a lot of enemies that Bachman does not have which will work to her disadvantage for the 2012 race. A disadvantage that Bachman does not have. But that too may very well be balance out with Bachman's position as an almost unknown outside of conservatives and Tea Party circles.

So the bottom line is that Palin and Bachman will be fighting for almost the same voter base which works to the disadvantage of both of these outstanding ladies whose political stand is not only Constitutional but meets with the best traditions of our Nation. Which tends to make me believe that at least one will not enter the race since both are politically savvy and understand the process of running for high office.

Although Palin is in the midst of high profile publicity campaign involving a bus tour over the Memorial Day weekend and a much anticipated movie about who she is to counter balance the press negatives that have been unfairly leveled against her, I do not think she is doing this to prepare for a 2012 run. I may be wrong but she does not seem to be moving toward a run. But again this is Sarah Palin and she is also one of the most unpredictable politicians that has ever lived.

Bachman on the other hand is very obviously moving toward a 2012 run and I believe that if she announces early in June as it looks like may be the case, Palin will hold off because she understands how the process works and how she and Bachman who are known as friends would basically cancel each other out in a run for The White House.

Well that's how I see it and just as anything else when it involves politicians and especially a Presidential run, I may be completely off base. When one is evaluating someone as unpredictable and that is agood thing, as Sarah Palin and someone as unconventional, which is also a good thing as Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman, just about anything goes. I will say this for certain, if either can gain the nomination I will have no problem casting my vote for either Palin or Bachman!

DEMOCRATS AND SECRET FUND RAISERS

Is the Democrat Party hiding fund raising events for a reason? Last week two more DNC fund raising events were closed to press coverage as Vice President Joe Biden went to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati to meet with donors and raise money for the Obama reelection campaign. The two events follow a long line of DNC fund raisers featuring Biden and Obama in which both the national and local press were banned from covering.

Full disclosure and transparency during fund raising events in necessary and a normal practice by political parties and sitting Presidents to keep suspicion from growing that donars are not meeting requirements for amount donated etc. But it would seem that Obama's reelection committee and the DNC are more concerned about secrecy than keeping even the appearance of being above board in their fund raising efforts.

At a recent fund raiser in San Francisco where only local reporters were allowed White House staffers kicked out a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle who was recording protesters that were heckling Obama. This too was a fund raiser for his reelection and a DNC sponsored event. Although the local press was not banned they were prevented from reporting anything but positive situations about the event.

When running for office Obama promised the most transparent administration in US history. It has been just the opposite as secrecy has reigned supreme in the administration. Now that Obama is running for reelection the lack of transparency is running into a Constitutional situation as banning press coverage of fund raising events is a violation of the First Amendments freedom of press clause.

But opposing and violating the Constitution has been common practice of the Obama administration since day one so violating the freedom of the press at fund raising events is not surprising. In fact, in light of past experience and examples almost expected by this very nontransparent Presidency. Of course the very liberal press that is being banned as usual is also being very quiet about this lack of press freedom since it is Obama and they still are in the midst of their leg tingling love affair with him. If this was Bush the same press would be crying for his impeachment for denying press freedom.

THE LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTION - THE SUNDAY COMMENTARY

They came from every corner of our nation representing our best and bravest. They fought in places whose names have become familiar to us not because the field had any great significance but because of what they so bravely did there.

Places like Trenton, Lexington, Concord, Yorktown, New Orleans, Antietam, Gettysburg, Vicksburg, the trenches of WWI, Verdun, Anzio, Iwo Jima, Normandy, Porkchop Hill, Inchon, Hamburger Hill, Khe Sanh, Dong Ha, Basra, Kuwait City, Asadabad, Baghdad, Fallujah. Each of these locations and many more where brave Americans gave their lives defending freedom and fighting for liberty in defense of this Nation.

Not one of these brave American heroes left home with the intention of giving their life for this Nation. They each left with a willingness to perform their duty with honor and with pride in service to their country with the full knowledge that this sacrifice in service may cost the, "last full measure of devotion."

They were willing because they understood that freedom is not free and there is a high price to pay defending what one believes in. Many left home as boys with high ideals and a yearning for adventure then faced the reality of war with uncommon bravery, valor, devotion and sacrifice.

Some sacrificed to save a fellow soldier, some to achieve an objective when the situation became extreme and stepped forward regardless of the cost. Some just because stepping forward was all that could be done. Most gave of themselves without knowing where the courage came from.

But each who gave this, "last full measure," are hero's who deserve our respect and our affection for what they sacrificed preserving freedom for each of us. They deserve our memoriam every day for the life they gave in sacrifice and defense of our Flag, our Country and our freedoms.

Nothing that we do, nothing that we say can bring them back nor honor them in the fullest extent that they so justifiably deserve. Though we try through memorials that unite us in their sacrifice and the beauty of the architecture. These great memorial structures that stir our emotions as we remember what they gave for us can never fully pay tribute to these heroic Americans that paved the way for our freedom.

Throughout the Nation memorial services at cemeteries and memorials will remind us of each brave American who gave so that we may be free. We will shed tears to the strain of taps as we realize just how much they gave. Movies attempting to portray their bravery and sacrifice will also remind us of the amazing sacrifice that these best and bravest of this Nation performed in defending our freedom.

Yet within all of these memorials and tributes to the thousands who have made the ultimate sacrifice at the altar of freedom, their heroism demands that we as a Nation more than just remember but rather live our lives in the freedom that they have provided for us in a manner that honors their sacrifice and pays tribute daily to their devotion to this country.

If ever we fail to remember our freedom or surrender our liberties or take them for granted then we risk making their sacrifice in vain. In their sacrifice they never once considered it anything more than duty in service to this Nation and an honor to have served. We owe each of them the same in our devotion to the liberties and freedoms that they sacrificed to give.

Nothing that we do can ever repay what they have given. Nothing that we say can ever express our gratitude for what we owe each of these brave heroes of freedom. How then can we begin to honor the memory and sacrifice of each who gave, "the last full measure of devotion ?"

President Lincoln said it best as he closed the Gettysburg Address, "that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this Nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

God bless our brave men and women who serve this Nation and sacrifice daily. God bless the families of every soldier throughout our history who gave their all for freedoms sake. God bless the memory of those who gave,"the last full measure of devotion," and finally God bless America !

MEMORIAL DAY - FREEDOM ISN'T FREE

Freedom isn't free. It is paid for with the blood and sacrifice of thousands of brave Americans who have given, "the last full measure of devotion," for the cause of freedom and in the defense of liberty for this Nation. It is for them that we remember what they did. It is for them that we remember why they sacrificed. And it is for them that we owe our freedom and liberty. God bless those who have sacrificed all on the altar of freedom so that we can remain eternally free.

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION WILL BE MOST RACE BAITED IN HISTORY

Get ready folks because its coming to a liberal media outlet and from every left wing and Democrat source available. Barack Obama is a failed President by any standard including measuring up to the previous holder of the worst President in our Nations history, Jimmy Carter. His performance has been dismal at best and his record even worse.

Opponents of Obama in the 2012 race for The White House have more legitimate ammunition to use against this President than any campaign against an incumbent possibly in our history but definitely in the modern Presidency. Yet Obama's failed record, his arrogant attitude, his disastrous foreign policy and record of spending and deficits that exceed all of his predecessors combined will be transformed by fellow Democrats and the MSM as attacks against Obama because he is black.

Obama claimed when running in 2008 and emphasised after his election that he would be a uniting President. But his term in office has been polar opposite as he has been the most divisive President in memory. Throughout his tenure in the Oval Office there have been constant false emphasis by Obama, his spokes people and especially left wing pundits and MSM types that all of Obama's problems stem from his being a black President.

If you oppose Obama policy you are a racist. If you dislike any action he is taking you are a racist. If you are angered by the direction he is taking this country you are a racist. If you disagree with anything he is doing or says you are a racist. If you speak against him in any way you are a racist. If you favor someone who opposes Obama you favor that person because as a racist you can't handle having a black President. I could go on but I am sure you get the picture.

Now the 2012 election cycle is beginning to start in earnest and right out of the gate the race baiting is starting and will escalate as we draw closer to the November General election. The number three Democrat in the House, Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, I'm ashamed to admit his being from my state, and it is not because he is black but because he is a LOUSY Representative, is on record in an interview with McClatchy News Group, that all of Obama's problems stem from the fact that he is black and as such the opposition to this, "good President," and," great Commander in Chief," is solely due to racism.

In actuality it is not the opposition to Obama who constantly bring up his race or play the race card. In fact one almost NEVER hears of Obama's ethnicity being mentioned when discussing his Presidency or his policy by anyone who opposes him. His race is only mentioned on a regular basis by those who support him as a means of claiming anyone who opposes him is a racist.

This is The United States of America where it is our duty as citizens to speak out in opposition to ANY President in whom we find disagreement. It is our duty as Americans to stand up against our Chief Executive if his actions are contrary to our Constitution and our traditions handed down to us by our Founders. Obama has fit this definition since day one of his Presidency. But we who oppose him are considered by those who support him as anti American and racist.

There are strong indications already this early in the 2012 race for The White House that the race card is going to be a central part of the campaign used regularly by those who wish Obama to be reelected. There will be similar references I am sure by Obama himself like those he made in the 2008 campaign when he stated that in a speech given in July 08 that some were saying he was, "risky," because he, "doesn't look like the other Presidents on the dollar bill."

We who oppose Obama could care less about what color he is or whether he is from a minority or a majority race. We oppose him ONLY because of what he has done and continues to do. We dislike his policy not his color. We oppose his failure not his skin. We are angered at his leadership or lack thereof not his ethnicity. But no matter how many times we state this fact throughout the 2012 election cycle we will be labeled more everyday as racist because we have the audacity to oppose a black President. So my fellow conservatives, Republicans, Independents and yes Democrats who have put aside the blinders and see the truth about how bad Obama is, be prepared because the left is gearing up for a race filled campaign and we who oppose Obama for all the right reasons will be their target!

OBAMA HUMILATED BY THE QUEEN AND AN EMBARRASMENT TO AMERICA

Either Barack Obama is a complete idiot or someone in his staff had no clue as to proper protocol or both when toasting the Queen of England. As a result Queen Elizabeth humiliated Obama and the idiot in chief looked like a fool while bringing yet another international embarrassment upon our Nation.

Obama not only did not stop his babbling about the Queen when the British National Anthem began playing as EVERYONE else stood silent and respectful as the anthem played but he was so tied to his notes written out for his toast that he did not even notice that NO ONE else was raising their glass and were standing in respect to the anthem as it played.

It took the scolding of the Queen to wake Obama from his stuck on notes daze before the idiot in chief understood his crash of protocol and the embarrassment he was causing. If you turn up the volume you can hear the Queen tell Obama, "let's think on it," in reference to his toast and his embarrassment to both her and our country. She then refused to drink the toast as I am sure she was angered by Obama's breach.

Obama claims to be among the elites and is an arrogant fool who daily shows how much he is over his head in even the simplest duties of his job. Toasting the Queen is all well and good but begin so caught up in ones self as the arrogant one is to not notice only he was ignoring the British Anthem is beyond just being inept and verges on the edge of stupidity.

During a segment of Rush Limbaugh's radio show an Obama supporter called in to take Rush to task for calling Obama a bad President. As you listen to the ridiculous reasoning behind why this dope supports Obama and why he thinks Obama is not a bad President you will get a great insight as to the mentality of those who support the idiot in chief and why he must be defeated in 2012 to prevent this mental instability from spreading.

A TALE OF TWO LEADERS - NETANYAHU VS OBAMA

We have witnessed the difference in the last few days of how a true leader acts as opposed to a child who thinks he's a leader. Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel has been in The United States since last Friday. He has met with Barack Obama, Jewish groups and today a joint session of our Congress.

As we have watched the moments of Netanyahu's visit unfold we saw his handling of a situation he was thrust into by an arrogant child who blindsided him by making an announcement concerning Israel returning to the borders before the 1967 Six Day War, a speech delivered by Obama intentionally planned to coincide with Netanyahu being en route to The United States to delay his response to this impossible demand.

Netanyahu took the first opportunity at a White House photo/question op to take Obama to task over the demand for Israel to return to the pre 67 borders making Obama look like a fool while explaining in detail the reality of a situation that Obama obviously does not grasp and equally as obvious seeks to abandon Israel in favor of the Palestinians while pretending to be Israels friend. Netanyahu saw through Obama's ruse, called him on it in a gentlemanly but firm reaction.

Obama showed himself to be an arrogant child who constantly bullies to get his own way as he followed up his scolding by Netanyahu by making speeches and assigning staffers to the talking head shows to continue to push his unreasonable and impossible demand on Israel. Even trying to explain it away as a misunderstanding to Jewish groups while still pressing for the move to pre 67 borders.

Now in the wake of the devastating tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri Benjamin Netanyahu has shown once again how a true leader acts and exposed Obama as the child and pretender he truly is. Netanyahu spoke at AIPAC on the Israeli/Palestinian peace process and began his speech remembering the victims of not only the Joplin tornado but the mass devastation that has taken place in The United States over the last two months from tornadoes and floods.

Obama who is on yet another European tour spoke about the devastation in Joplin for the first time on Tuesday morning a full two days AFTER the tornado and only a brief statement before going to hob nob with Queen Elizabeth telling the press he would eventually get around to visiting Joplin Sunday after his European tour is over.

A true leader sets priorities for his people above all and Obama has shown time and again that his quest for popularity is more important than the American people. He is a child in a mans job. Netanyahu stood fast in the face of an arrogant Obama for his people and their defense regardless of what the consequences would be as long as his people remained safe. Netanyahu is a true leader, Obama is a child who wants everyone to think he is a leader.

BARACK OBAMA, THE ARROGANT ENEMY OF ISRAEL - THE SUNDAY COMMENTARY

Since its modern day rebirth The United States and every President since Harry Truman who pushed for the creation of the Jewish State as we know it today,Israel has been our staunches ally and we inturn have been Israel's closest friend. Through difficult times and conflict America and our leaders have stood with Israel, supporting her and standing with her against all enemies of which the tiny country is surrounded.

All of that changed as far as official US policy last Thursday as Barack Obama threw Israel under the bus officially as he called for her to return to a pre 1967 border in order to surrender to the Palestinians lands that Israel has occupied for 44 years. Lands they won in an unprovoked attack against her in 1967 and in which she has used to defend herself from neighbors who wish to do her harm.

First a little background as to why this demand by Obama is not only uncalled for but impossible for Israel to concede. Before 1967 much of Israel was only nine miles wide. A very small country that was surrounded by Arab Nations who wanted Israel to cease being a Nation. While Arab Nations being against Israel is not much different than today the positioning of her borders before 1967 made her much more vulnerable than she is now.

On June 5, 1967 without warning and completely unprovoked, Egypt, then known as The United Arab Republic, Syria and Jordan attacked Israel seeking to eliminate the Jewish State. Israel responded and six days later all three countries were defeated with Egypt even finding its Air Force devastated by a defending Israel who managed to catch Egyptian Air Forces on the ground and destroying almost all air power of the country to Israel's south.

In the process of this six day war Israel expanded her borders which since then has given her a buffer zone between hostile neighbors. Over the years through peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan some of the original occupied areas have been returned but enough land left to keep a safer Israel with a buffer between Israel and her neighbors.

Now Barack Obama is demanding that Israel give up everything they earned for protection in order to pacify the Palestinians and help create a Palestinian State. Expecting NOTHING from the Palestinians and demanding everything from Israel. Obama is making it official US policy to abandon Israel and side with the Palestinians. The American people still stand with Israel but the child in The White House does not an unfortunately because he happens to be President how he stands becomes official US policy.

Obama's stance against Israel is almost anti-Semitic in nature since it demands Israel give up lands that helps protect her from certain Nations, namely Syria, who still attack her and support groups like Hamas that seek Israels destruction. Obama in his demand is seeking to open Israel up to the killing of Jews by aggressive enemies with a much lessened ability to defend the Jewish State.

Additionally he has taken away any bargaining Israel has in future negotiations as the Palestinians need say nothing more than repeat Obama's words and use them as their only demand and concession acceptable from Israel for peace. No matter what his rhetoric of supposed respect of Israel, Obama has clearly shown many times since taking office but especially in this latest demand that he is an enemy not an ally of Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a photo/question op at The White House during a visit that followed the day after Obama's speech calling for the pre 67 borders, stated emphatically that Israel would not accept this indefensible position nor Obama's call for Israel to accept a constant flow of the ancestors of Palestinian refugees who are descended from two generations back. Netanyahu took Obama to task on this and provided the naive fool a history and reality lesson in the process.

But this has not stopped the arrogant enemy of Israel from continuing to pressure Israel into accepting his unreasonable and impossible demand. He has made the speech and talking head circuit since either personally or members of his administration calling for the pre 67 borders completely disregarding the justifiable rejection by Israel's Leader. Obama is acting like a child bully trying to force a another to do what he wants.

Israel may be surrounded by enemies but Barack Obama has shown through his words that he hates Israel almost as much as those who surround her. The difference is that he has a bully pulpit in the Presidency to express his almost anti-Semitic hatred of Israel and is using it to his advantage leaving out greatest ally to stand alone defending the right position and trying to tell the truth for a world to listen to.

To our friends in Israel and all of our Jewish citizens here in America please know that although Obama is spewing anti Jewish rhetoric in his demands for Israel, we the people, still stand with you and do not agree with Barack Obama. Israel and all of the lands she occupies now belongs to Israel and not even a President has the right to demand otherwise. We as Americans are seeking to eliminate by our vote your enemy in The White House and come 2012 when we defeat him our new leader will stand with the American people for Israel and her protection.

OBAMA TAKEN TO THE WOODSHED BY NETANYAHU

In a unprecedented speech by an American President, Barack Obama threw Israel under the bus on Thursday as he called for the Jewish State to return to the borders that existed before the 1967 war in which Israel was attacked without any provocation by Egypt, Jordan and Syria. Israel defeated all three in six days and expanded their borders taking land that was won by the defeat and used since as a buffer zone between Israel and their neighbors.

Obama stated that returning to the pre 67 border was necessary to create a Palestinian State calling for Israel to make all concessions and the Palestinians making absolutely nothing. Eliminating any negotiating room and placing The United States as a policy firmly with the Palestinians and abandoning Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was en route to Washington when Obama made the speech and met with Obama on Friday followed by a photo/question session in the Oval Office with both men. Obama clearly thought in his arrogant mind the Israeli Prime Minister would bow to Obama's wishes and accept a pre 67 border for a surrendered peace on Israel's part with the Palestinians.

Netanyahu had no intention of complying as he alone was looking out for Israel and rejected completely Obama's proposed border and then proceeded in the photo/questions op to take Obama to the woodshed and to school on how things really are to the obvious anger of Obama whose facial expressions and body language clearly showed aggravation that Netanyahu was scolding Obama while taking him to school.

The world was given a clear understanding of the difference between a seasoned leader and a child who thought he could bully and get his own way. Netanyahu was polite but firm in his rejection while giving Obama a history lesson on the reality of the Israel Obama was so willing to abandon. Obama was clearly out of his league in dealing with this situation and obviously unprepared to be taken to school and the woodshed by Netanyahu.

Republicans, take heed. Netanyahu has shown a clear way of dealing with the spoiled child in The White House. He did not take him to task through anger or political rhetoric but set Obama straight from a strong and clearly correct position on the Israeli situation. He calmly showed the ineptness of Obama and his weakness while telling the world just how wrong this child is. It's a shame Netanyahu isn't a natural born US citizen because he would surely be able to defeat the weak Obama in a landslide come 2012 if it were so.

MITT ROMNEY MAY BE RAISING THE BUCKS BUT NOT THE DE FACTO GOP WINNER

There has been a concentrated effort on the part of the media including many who are more conservative leaning that since Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump have decided not to run for President, Mitt Romney is the De facto winner of the GOP nomination. Yes he has raised a lot of money and yes he is popular with the club house types in the GOP but money and elitist popularity DOES NOT a nominee make.

Granted at least at the moment the GOP field is a little on the weak side with several unknowns and at least one known, Newt Gingrich who is shooting himself in the foot, but we are still several months from the beginning of the Primary season and so automatically declaring Romney the winner and saying the nomination is his to lose is ridiculous.

Candidates like Herman Cain who is not well known is starting to gain momentum especially after a brilliant showing during the GOP debate earlier this month in Greenville, SC. Ron Paul can't, won't and must not win so should just fade away and go home to Texas. Newt as I mentioned is shooting himself in the foot, Tim Pawlenty is dull and still unknown to most. Rick Santorum and several others who are part of the lower tier are so unknown that it would take a miracle for them to climb the ladder to the nomination.

Additionally there are still others who have not made the decision who will change the dynamics of the GOP race considerably. Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, John Bolton and Mitch Daniels are in the wings waiting to decide. While Palin, Bachman and Bolton will move the field more to a predominant conservative group seeking the nomination Daniels is almost a carbon copy of John McCain politically and we know how that turned out in 08.

With all of the above in mind Mitt Romney still poses problems that will keep him at a distance especially from the conservative base in the GOP. Romney although trying to claim opposition to Obamacare, even to the point of making a major speech against it, he has not and will not be able to get past his own state version referred to a Romneycare. With too many similarities to Obama's debacle and Romney's unwillingness to speak against it and all too willing to defend it, is a major obstacle to his gaining the nomination.

Also Romney is not the least bit exciting as a candidate. He proved this in his failed run for the 2008 nomination losing to an extremely dull John McCain and having to drop out well before the Primaries were completed. He is not liked by most conservatives and independents and would need both to have any possibility of gaining the nomination. Two groups he could not gain in 2008 and likely cannot gain in 2012.

We are still much too early in the process for the media or anyone else for that matter to call anyone a front runner or claiming the nomination is theirs to lose. Money does not make a nominee, a strong stance and grasp of the issues that matches the majority of the GOP electorate will win the nomination and Romney does not posses either. His record and his campaign ,"conservative," rhetoric do not match and voters know this.

The race for the GOP nomination is wide open and almost all of the candidates have a strong chance of taking out Obama as many polls show an unnamed GOP candidate beating Obama in 2012 which emphasises just how unpopular Obama is. Declaring a De facto winner is not only too early but ridiculous. Don't buy into it and use your good conservative research to find the candidate that you like the most as we work together to rid our Nation of the plague that is Barack Obama.

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER -"NEWT GINGRICH IS DONE."

With his usual savvy flair Charles Krauthammer makes a statement on the candidacy of Newt Gingrich in light of his flip flop on a mandated health care law and his attack on Paul Ryan's medicare reform. Newt has since apologized to Ryan and backtracked on his mandate statement on Meet The Depressed but the damage has already been done and Krauthammer may be right that Newt is done also.

It is a shame that Newt has become his own worst enemy already. Although I did not think he would get the nomination, I like Newt and his grasp on most issues as well as his intelligent solutions to many which would have made for an interesting debate as well as forcing others to step up to the plate in a way they may not have before his entrance into the race. But now Newt has almost made himself irrelevant and has a lot of work to do in order to dig himself out of the hole he as jumped in.

DID NEWT SHOOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT ALREADY

GOP Presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich made a visit to Meet The Depressed on Sunday and according to many within the GOP as well as conservative pundits and many conservative voters Newt shot himself in the foot and less that a week after officially announcing his candidacy the campaign is finished.

On the show Newt refered to the Medicare reform plan offered by fellow Republican and current House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, as,"right wing social engineering." A position that he has tried to explain since without much satisfaction by those he has explained it to.

He also discussed responsibility in paying for health care including emergency room visits by Americans without health care insurance. His explanatiopn on this issue seemed to imply that he favored some sort of mandated health care but on the state level rather than the federal level like Obamacare.

While all conservatives are in favor of personal responsibility Newt stepped on a lot of toes with his implication of a state mandate as opposed to a federal mandate, neither of which is favored by most voters since it forces Americans to purchase health care under the threat of penalties.

Additionally he broke the 11th Commandment for Republicans as expressed by President Reagan which states, "thou shalt not talk against fellow Republicans," when he called Ryan's plan right wing social engineering. Starting off a major campaign by spending most of the time having to appear on radio and television political shows in order to explain what many consider the death nail for his campaign does not bode well for Newt in 2012.

Newt is one of the most brilliant men in the country and his grasp on the issues is second to none but this time he may have stepped into more than he can overcome even this early in the campaign. Many considered him a long shot at best even with his political savvy and now after Sundays performance most have written him off less than a week after his campaign began.

THE MYTH OF THE UNBEATABLE OBAMA - THE SUNDAY COMMENTARY

This weeks Sunday Commentary is short and to the point since it deals with a ridiculous myth being created by the left and especially the main stream media that Barack Obama is unbeatable in 2012 and the killing of Osama bin Laden just put him in the position of untouchable by any GOP contender for President.

First any bump that Obama received from the killing of bin Laden was very small in light of the event and second, that bump as small as it was is ALREADY gone only two weeks after The Navy Seals capped bin Laden in Pakistan. So the latest part of the unbeatable Obama myth has already been thwarted since the killing of bin Laden did not help him now and WILL not help him for 2012. It will only serve Obama as a cheap campaign blurb to get an applause from a hand picked audience.

The next part of the left wing unbeatable Obama myth lies in the idea that he has accomplished so much since becoming President. They tout health care which almost NOBODY wants, his increasing of the federal governments size and scope which again almost NOBODY wants and his supposed improvement of the economy which HAS NOT improved but rather worsened since he took office.

Presidents are re-elected because of voters satisfaction that the person who sits at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has proven he deserves another term and has accomplished good things for the country. Obama has done none of the above and the two charts that are shown on this post show just HOW bad things have been under the Obama Presidency. Nothing on these charts shows a President who the electorate wants to remain in office.

Unemployment has left millions of Americans out of work and the numbers on the chart do not reflect those who have already given up looking because of the unavailability of jobs as well as those who are greatly under employed taking part time because it is all they could find. Adding those two stats to the mix make the true unemployment figure around 18%. Not an electable figure for a sitting President.

The deficit and debt have sky rocketed under Obama and for a change the American people are paying attention to the ramifications this has for our country. Spending at the Obama rate worries Americans and that too is not an electable situation for a sitting President. This combined with the pain at the gas pump and an ever ignorant Obama giving loans to other countries to develop and buy their gas for our use while preventing drilling from our own sources which would LOWER gas prices positions a landslide victory against a weak and indecisive Obama.

The myth of him as unbeatable is being used to discourage voters from supporting anyone who has the ,"audacity," to run against the leftist media hyped messiah. The battle now that faces those who run against him is to make sure that they push without reservation the failures of Obama and constantly use Obama's own failed record against him.

Obama is a savvy politician who is a master of spin and lies and anyone who runs against him must overcome that by not being a gentleman or lady but tell the truth about how bad Obama's Presidency has been and follow Reagan's example as used against Jimmy Carter when he asked, "are you better off than you were four years ago?" to which the American public overwhelmingly answered,"NO," just as they will against Obama. Bringing the same results as Reagan over Carter, a landslide of historic proportions.

NAVY SEAL INSULTED BY THE WORST TOY EVER MADE

When I first saw this picture to the left, (how appropriate it is on the left), I thought that it was a joke and someone had photo shopped the picture. Then I read the article from MSNBC and found it not only true and not a joke but a real toy.

The Rambo, Awwnold looking action figure is made by Hero Builders a toy company out of Connecticut as a tribute to the killing of Osama bin Laden and the Navy Seals who took bin Laden out. Paying tribute to the Seals and commemorating the killing of bin Laden is fine but using Obama as the image and placing a M1-A4 rifle in his hands is not only ridiculous but an insult to the bravery of The Navy Seals who capped bin Laden.

The figure is called Rambama and is one of a line of Hero Figures made by the company which began the line in the wake of 9/11 and the actions taken by President Bush. So the Obama figure is not the first but is most certainly the most ridiculous and laughable because first, Obama is NOT the hero of the raid and second he does everything in his power to demean the military and Second Amendment rights so a beefed up Obama holding a military rifle is....is....well beyond description other than plain STUPID!

NEWT GINGRICH IS IN, EVEN WITH HIS PROBLEMS MAKES 2012 RACE MORE INTERESTING

First let me state that this post is not my endorsement of a Gingrich candidacy for 2012. I have yet to make up my mind who I will back as the field is still forming although there are current candidates I like and yes, Gingrich is a man I like. I have several problems with him among those are his support for, "climate change," legislation and his willingness to compromise on issues that I consider no compromise issues.

But the reality is that Gingrich is a brilliant man and one of the most savvy and politically smart politicians in America and the world. He knows the issues and has a very deep and detailed understanding of our country and the problems we face with some very sound answers and solutions.

One thing that Gingrich brings to the table that will make this race extremely interesting is the fact that he does know his stuff and as such his being in the race will force all contenders to rise to the occasion in order to attempt to go toe to toe with Newt. He has the ability in a one on one debate to bury anyone who goes against him and that in itself will force the GOP field to be ready for the debates in a way never before seen.

He will have detailed answers for every question and his answers will make sense and show real solutions for today's problems. He is one of the most savvy in foreign affairs and his knowledge of the issues that face our Nation outside of our borders in second to none which will again force those who run against him to step up to the plate and know the world stage as well.

Whether he can gain the GOP nomination is yet to be seen. He has a considerable amount of baggage and has angered many conservatives over the years and I am among those who have been disappointed with some of his actions. While he is a strong Constitutional conservative he does have a tendency to compromise on some of he conservative principles that our Nation needs for the future.

At this point in the game because of the anger he has wrought by many conservatives, I don't see Newt getting the GOP nod. But it sure would be nice to watch him bury Obama in an one on one debate. Obama vs. Newt in a debate will rank right up there with the second Reagan/Mondale or the Reagan/Carter debate which propelled Reagan to two landslides. I will say this, though I have some problems with Newt, if he gets the nomination I have no doubt he would beat Obama and he would get my vote against Obama.

THE OBAMA HYPOCRISY - CALLS FOR UNITY THEN SEEKS TO DIVIIDE

From the moment the death of Osama bin Laden was announced and in the following days as Barack Obama used the event as a public relations tour to pat himself on the back for the death of the Al Qaeda leader, Obama invoked the memory of the unified country in the days and weeks following 9/11. He used this blatant political manipulation technique to try and urge Americans to unify behind him as a result of bin Laden's death.

Now just over a week after Navy Seals capped OBL and he became shark bait, Obama takes a trip to our Southern border to talk about his idea of immigration reform and not only uses the bin Laden demise as a cheap applause line in an obvious lead in to his using it in his 2012 campaign but additionally used the speech to seek division after hypocritically calling for unity only a week ago.

Using false statements about our border and claiming it is more secure now then it ever has been because of his policy, Obama slammed the GOP and everyone who is calling for totally securing the border. He falsely claimed the border fence was all but complete when the truth is only 650 miles of fence is completed leaving 1300 miles without any fence and his administration cutting $250 million in funding for the fence.

He claimed illegals are not crossing the border as they have in the past because of his border security yet in 2010, 450,000 illegals entered The United States with more than 60,000 of those being from countries other than Mexico including hundreds of Middle East origin. Yet Obama stood before a crowd making fun of Republicans and any American who is calling for a secure border.

Touting his perceived border security, which is pitiful at best, Obama said Republicans will never be satisfied stating,"But even though we've answered these concerns, I gotta say I suspect there are still going to be some who are trying to move the goal posts on us one more time."

Then this joker who claims to be a unifier sought division by mocking those calling for a secure border saying, "they'll want a higher fence, maybe they'll need a moat. Maybe they'll want alligators in the moat." This is the same person who whined about unity last week as he invoked 9/11 and the memory of those who perished at the hands of bin Laden.

Obama does not want unity unless everyone unites behind him and falls lock step with his unconstitutional policy, foreign policy of apology and domestic agenda of socialism which allows illegals total access to our country and services with state sponsored amnesty and a border that allows anyone to enter since he refuses to build the fence and gives border agents bean bag guns to combat UZI's. This is Obama's America.

GOP PRESIDENTIAL FIELD LOOKS SLIM BUT DON'T FORGET 1992

Whether it is a left wing media driven propaganda or real concern for the lack of a strong contender in the 2012 Republican Presidential field, it is still not the time to worry about our chances against Barack Obama in 2012. After all Obama is the best campaign ad the GOP has in keeping prospects strong for 2012. Even when he participates in something great like the killing of bin Laden he manages to bumble his way through it showing how inept he is as President.

There is much being said by the left wing media over the GOP field and the fact that there is not a clear front runner. Don't let that bother you because we are still early and the left wing media is looking for ways to boost a failed Obama and crash GOP possibilities to defeat him. So they are using this as a propaganda tool for Obama.

As I mentioned earlier in this post, Obama is doing a great job of keeping GOP chances for 2012 strong as he continues to bumble his way through the Presidency. Everything Obama says and does just ads new nails to his 2012 coffin as the economy struggles, unemployment stays high, gas prices continue to plague Americans and Obama's general inept handling of all the issues and every situation that comes his way even the after math of the killing of bin Laden. The little or no bounce he received shows this great event won't help him in 2012.

The GOP field has some good people running or potentially running and many are great conservatives whose stance on policy and the issues will go a long way as the months pass until the primaries. Herman Caine gained a great deal of recognition in the recent South Carolina GOP debate and until that point most had never heard of him but nearly everyone awarded the debate to him hands down.

Caine's win is just one example of how the GOP field can change and show that there may yet be a dark horse or a current candidate or possible candidate whose star may rise in the coming months to the satisfaction of voters and the defeat of Obama. The best example of how a nobody can rise to prominence in the primaries is the 1992 example of Bill Clinton.

Clinton was not only a dark horse but was so much so that almost no one knew who he was or what he stood for. Then came the New Hampshire Primary which was won by Paul Tsongas but a surprise second place finish by an unknown Bubba placed him in the spotlight and he surged to the nomination and the Presidency. So unknowns can come from nowhere and win even as the primary season starts in 2012.

It's much to early for anyone to count out anybody already announced or possibly announcing. We are a year from the primaries and a lot can happen between now an then. In fact the only constant we can depend on as the primaries approach is the same constant that has kept the GOP very much alive for 2012. The bumbling Obama will continue to fail and his ineptness will be a shining light for a GOP 2012 victory.

OSAMA BIN LADEN DEAD YET OBAMA GETS LITTLE BOUNCE - THE SUNDAY COMMENTARY

Americans are as a whole a patriotic people. There are many who, like me, wear their patriotism proudly and daily without needing a special event, victory or tragedy to rally us behind the flag and country. Many others love our country but are not as quick to express that patriotism unless a special event, tragedy, etc. Then there are those who use any reason to condemn the country whose freedoms have brought them success and allow them to voice their hatred of the very traditions and principles of liberty they live in.

When especially a tragedy, victory or other type event takes place Americans regardless of political beliefs or ideology rally behind the President as he leads our Nation through war, tragedy and other Nation shaking events. We tend to at least momentarily set aside our political differences and our problems whether right or left with the sitting President and support him as he does what we hope is best for our Nation.

In just the last few decades we watched our Nation rally behind George H.W. Bush as we launched Operation Desert Storm to remove Saddam Hussein from Kuwait. The elder Bush saw his popularity polls soar into the high eighties as Americans rallied behind their President. Bill Clinton sent troops into Somalia and Kosovo for and although both operations were not as popular with the American people as Desert Storm we rallied behind Clinton as his poll numbers rose into the upper sixties at the start of our combat presence.

George W. Bush experienced poll numbers that topped even those of his father during Desert Storm as we rallied behind him in the days and weeks following the shock then anger of September 11, 2001. We rallied first in tragedy then in resolve to get those responsible. President Bush experienced another rise as Americans rallied again behind him in the days that followed the capture of Saddam Hussein.

Now in 2011 we have experienced another of these historic Nation shaking events which bring out the patriotism in Americans as the brave men of The Navy Seals stormed the compound of Osama bin Laden and in a raid the lasted 40 minutes killed the most wanted person in the world who had eluded us for ten years. This momentous event while more a moral victory for our country than a strategic one brought with it a satisfaction like other momentous events that rally Americans to our flag and usually to our President.

Polling soon after the death of OBL showed while Americans were thrilled with the death of this scum of the Earth rallying behind the President as is usual for events of this magnitude was not happening. The more liberal polls were giving Obama almost a ten point bounce which is still very small while others gave him only a point or two with some none at all. If an average were taken Obama received about a three to four point bounce in the polls which considering the event is almost non-existent.

Why did Americans not rally behind Obama for this Nation shaking event like all others in our history that cause Americans to rally to the President? After all OBL was dead, America's best and bravest killed him in a magnificent military raid and the Commander in Chief gave the order to take him out, yet Americans as a whole were ho hum toward Obama and his part in the death of OBL.

I think the first reason for the lack of poll bounce for Obama in the aftermath of OBL's death came from the announcement of the raid and death itself. Americans love for their President at such times to speak of American exceptionalism and remind us of not only our greatness as a Nation but our ability to rise above every tragedy and gain any victory we set our resolve to.

We do NOT like a President to pat himself on the back in times of victory and this is exactly what Obama did. The majority of the speech entailed Obama telling the American people what he did and the orders he gave and the plans he approved and the intelligence he saw which gave him the information he needed to make the decision he made to send in the Seals he ordered to kill bin Laden.

We don't mind a Commander in Chief mentioning giving an order but to take almost ALL of the credit for something that had been in the making for ten years and then insinuating that it only happened because he ordered the CIA Director to make getting bin Laden our top priority. Something everyone knew was a top priority since 9/11 and then finding out that the intelligence which provided the link to this raid came BEFORE he took office from a source that his administration condemned and his AG was seeking to prosecute, namely enhanced interrogation, well this turned the stomachs of most Americans.

The days that followed the killing of OBL and how it was handled and the chaos that ensued as we continuously received differing reports and information told the American people that Obama had no clue as to what he was doing. As he and his administration began seeking ways to justify OBL's killing and almost apologizing for the way it happened this too drew the people away from Obama. Our justification for killing bin Laden was 9/11 and for that we had no reason to apologize.

Combining the inept handling of the announcement and the after math with the sad shape of our economy and the direction our Nation is taking at the hands of Barack Obama and it is no wonder the American people even in the light of this historic and momentous event did not rally behind Obama. His left wing media apologists tried to make the case that we no longer rally behind a President in such events. That is NOT the case it is that we saw no reason to rally behind THIS President who so desperately sought to take credit for something he did not deserve all the credit for.

Many have whined now that because of the killing of bin Laden, Obama is now a shoe in for 2012. If the election had taken place in the three or four days after, he likely would have been re-elected. But his little bounce is already wearing off and killing bin Laden no matter how much he uses it in his campaign, and he will use it, will not help him at all.

The American people are tired of Obama and tired of what he is doing to our country. The only bounce the majority of Americans want for Obama is the day we go to the polls and bounce him out of office with our vote. Obama's arrogance, ineptness and insecurity as President were his undoing when bin Laden was killed and it will also be his undoing when we vote him out next year.

OSAMA BIN LADEN'S LAST PHOTO, SHARK BAIT

This has been an extraordinary week starting Sunday night with the announcement that Osama bin Laden had been killed. There have been conspiracies run amok as to whether he truly is dead or not, arguments over who gave the order to get him, changes in the story of what went down and how, a PR tour by Barack Obama to try and take advantage of the situation or in other words a week that will long be remembered.

Regardless of all that has happened and all that will be argued for quite some time to come, one thing is absolute and no one can take this away nor take credit for it other than the magnificent soldiers of The Navy Seals. Their bravery and unmatched expertise in covert warfare it possible to surprise bin Laden and kill this evil scourge of the Earth.

So on this ending of the week no matter what still must be ironed out about the end of Osama bin Laden never forget this. HE IS DEAD and the brave members of the Navy Seal team made it happen. Because of their exceptional performance in the light of extreme hazard and risk Osama bin Laden is shark bait and burning in the hottest pit of Hell WITHOUT 72 virgins.

OSAMA BIN LADEN PROOF DENIED

From the beginning of the reports about the brave, dangerous and extremely successful mission performed by the Navy Seals in killing Osama bin Laden, The White House has been building up Barack Obama as a brilliant strategist for over ruling military commanders who wanted to take out the compound with a missile strike or a bombing run and choosing rather to send in the Navy Seals in order to have the body of OBL as proof the we had actually killed him.

Now I do not doubt that this mission took place nor do I doubt that our best and bravest performed magnificently and killed bin Laded. I also believe that OBL was brought to the USS Carl Vinson and dropped over board making bin Laden fish bait. But to deny our citizens and a very skeptical world the evidence that all of this did take place and bin Laden is dead is beyond comprehension.

If the entire purpose for sending in and risking the lives of Americas best and bravest was to have absolute proof that bin Laden was dead and then deny the release of that proof using the excuse that releasing pictures, etc. would inflame the situation is not only ridiculous but creates a firestorm of denial especially by those who supported bin Laden that we killed him and the entire mission was not a farce or that who we killed was NOT bin Laden.

If gathering proof had no intention of presenting that proof then why risk the lives of our Navy Seals? Why not use a missile or bomb and send in a team of investigators later to sift through the remains and find a DNA match which is nothing different than what we have been told exists and has been released to the public now?

Releasing the pictures will not inflame those who followed bin Laden any more than the knowledge that we killed him. Releasing the proof denies their ability to create a mythical figure who can be used to recruit and expand Al Qaeda influence pretending he is still alive and living the life of a recluse in some hidden location. It would not surprise me if using advanced filming techniques that a video of bin Laded is released in the near future claiming he is still alive.

To deny the release of the proof to our country and a world who already have little or no trust in Obama or his administration does,in my opinion,fan the flames of Jihad and conspiracy much more than showing without a doubt that we did kill Osama bin Laden and we had the body as the absolute proof of his death.

50 YEARS AGO FIRST AMERICAN IN SPACE

Fifty years ago The United States manned space program began with the sub orbital flight of Alan Shepard and his Freedom 7 Mercury Space Capsule. His was just the beginning of a brave and hazardous quest that eventually brought the Apollo missions to the moon.

The Mercury Capsules from Shepard to Gordon Cooper who was the last man to fly alone into space, were placed on the top of ballistic missile that had previously been used for nuclear weaponry launch vehicles but adapted for the space program and the manned missions. So these brave men beginning with Shepard knew the extreme risk of being catapulted into space aboard a ballistic missile and chose to be Americas first Astronauts.

Shepard and the other Mercury Astronauts were the pioneers of our manned space program and heroes all for their brave missions into the unknown and their efforts which made not only NASA but all of the future efforts and scientific discoveries that have come as a result of our Space program possible.

GET OVER THE POLITICAL PC WITH OSAMA BIN LADEN DEATH

The killing of Osama bin Laden was a victory for our country. While strategically it will have virtually no affect in the war on terrorism other than a psychological affect with those who followed bin Laden, his death marks the end of a search for the an evil whose demise was well deserved and whose actions warranted the bullet to the head he received from our Navy Seals.

So why all of the back tracking and almost apologetic response by the wishy washy Obama administration? Many in the administration including Obama seem to have this ridiculous idea that showing the pictures of bin Laden's corpse shows a lack is sensitivity and it will stoke the fires of our enemy.

First, how much sensitivity did bin Laden show to the thousands he is responsible for killing especially those who perished on 9/11? Second anyone who will be angered by the release of the picture is ALREADY angry because we killed him. This PC run amok started with the traditional Muslim ceremony undeservedly given bin Laden when he was made fish bait off the USS Carl Vinson. Did the PC administration actually think that those who were angered by his death would change their minds because we gave him a Muslim ceremony?

Now word is coming out that the administration is considering releasing a statement of justification for killing bin Laden. GIVE ME A BREAK. Our justification for killing him took place on 9/11 and with every soldier who has fought and died defending our country from bin Laden and his evil minions. This apologetic attitude is not only wrong it portrays once again the weakness of Obama and those who work in his ridiculously PC administration.

Bin Laden's corpse should have been shown to the world within hours of his death and several methods of verification should have taken place even if it involved the Brits and other allies who would increase the credibility of a positive ID of the body. The burial at sea was a smart idea since it prevents any possibility of a shrine or pilgrimage spot but he should have been tossed like a sack of Navy potato peelings rather than a 40 minute ceremony he did not deserve and NOT within 24 hours.

Now the hesitation of releasing any pictures just adds fuel to the fire that we did not get bin Laden. Additionally this too shows a weakness because of the fear of retribution being expressed if pictures are released. Anyone who plans retribution for bin Laden's death is already planning and pictures will not stop them or change their minds whether released or not. So release the pictures and quit acting like scared little children.

As far as the sensitivity, who cares! Again bin Laden and his followers have shown no sensitivity to those they have killed and don't forget how they rejoiced and celebrated after the Towers fell. Every moment that the pictures are held actually stokes greater fires of doubt and conspiracy than any that might be stoked by our enemy if pictures are released. Tha damage in NOT releasing them is far greater than any possibly or perceived damage from showing them.

Bin Laden was an evil who deserved a violent death. We have nothing to explain nor apologize for in killing him or those who surrounded him and died as collateral damage. They knew the risks of being with the most wanted person in the world and they chose to take that risk. Bin Laden knew his day would come and he got what he deserved. Stop with the PC and release the evidence in pictures and proudly proclaim to the world without apology or hesitation that The United States of America and our elite Navy Seals eliminated the scourge of the Earth and we are glad we did.

OSAMA BIN LADEN DEATH DUE TO CONTINUATION OF BUSH POLICY

First giving credit where credit is due to that brave Navy Seals who brilliantly fulfilled the dangerous mission of killing Osama Bin Laden. Their excellence in an extreme situation if just one more example of our tremendous military and the personnel who defend our country each and everyday. Thank you to the brave Navy Seals for ending this scourge and for all of our troops who made this victory possible serving their country around the world.

Now on to the purpose of this post. In his announcement Sunday night of the killing of bin Laden Barack Obama bent over backwards to portray to the American public and the world that the killing of OBL was a result of his order to CIA director Leon Panetta to make the hunt for bin Laden a top priority.

First we all know that the hunt for this scourge of the Earth has been a top priority since September 12, 2001 when it was discovered that Al Qaeda was responsible for the attacks on The World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the high jacking of the planes used for the attacks along with Flight 93 which crashed in Pennsylvania. Bin Laden has been the number one fugitive since and continued to be until Sunday when he was capped twice by Navy Seals. So Obama's assertion that he and he alone made bin Laden a priority is ridiculous.

Now to the intelligence that made the killing possible. Representative Peter King of New York who is the Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee has stated that the intelligence trail that led to the raid on bin Laden's compound began FOUR years ago and NOT after Obama became President. In fact the information leading to the courier who eventually laid bin Laden in our hands was discovered by the water boarding of Khalid Sheikh Mohammad who is the self confessed planner of 9/11.

His interrogation four years ago provided the courier who intelligence then traced and followed to the compound and the discovery of bin Laden which made the plan, the mission and the death of him possible. The only real credit Barack Obama deserves is having the intelligence to continue Bush policy and then having the sense to take out bin Laden when the intelligence proved to have found his whereabouts.

Obama does deserve credit for approving the plan and the actual raid which took out bin Laden. It was a risky operation which could have gone wrong and it required a gutsy decision to make it happen. Also the decision NOT to use a missile or bomb to take out the compound was good in the fact that it would provide proof that bin Laden was there and was killed.

But the assertion by Obama that this whole operation and the intelligence was made possible by his order to Panetta is absurd and arrogant. Bin Laden has been a priority target for ten years and has managed to allude capture and death using help from supporters and frankly after finding the rather comfortable million dollar compound in Pakistan it is obvious he had assistance and protection from people and the government of Pakistan who claim they knew nothing. Yet had a military school and three regiments of soldiers stationed in the area.

The death of bin Laden is a great moral victory for our Nation and is a comfort for those who lost loved ones and friends on 9/11 in knowing that this evil is dead and it was due to the bravery and excellence of The Navy Seals and the worlds greatest intelligence experts who followed a trail provided by interrogation four years ago. God bless the Seals who raided the compound and killed OBL. God bless our solders who serve and defend our country around the world and God bless America.

OSAMA BIN LADEN IS DEAD

Following US intelligence leads a team of US Navy Seals attacked the compound in Pakistan where Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was hiding and shot the terrorist leader in the head taking possession of his body and confirmed that he was in fact dead.

I have followed the example at the Drudge Report and intentionally placed the picture of this evil that has been eliminated upside down. He is dead due to the excellent work of the greatest intelligence force in the world and the best and bravest troops who undertook the operation that avenged the attacks of 9/11 by killing the person who headed Al Qaeda.

This does not end our war on terrorism but is a great day for our Nation and the world as this evil have finally been killed. God bless our troops and intelligence forces for their action and the tremendous job they always do in defending our Nation.

While we celebrate the death of Bin Laden we must also be ever vigilant as Al Qaeda is not just one man and is still seeking to kill Americans. We also remember those who perished on 9/11 and those they left behind. It was for them that this evil has been killed. So as we celebrate Bin Ladens death let us never forget what he did and why we fight and killed this evil.

ENOUGH WITH THE OBAMA BIRTH CERTIFICATE - THE SUNDAY COMMENTARY

At first glance by the title of this post many may assume that I have accepted 100% the legitimacy of Barack Obama's birth certificate and that I no longer consider this an issue. Nothing could be further from the truth. I still have my doubts about the shown certificate which many, some of whom are experts, began taking apart the same day it was revealed.

While I am not one who leans more toward Obama being born in Kenya although there is evidence that it may be a possibility, there are several questions that I still have about the legitimacy of his natural born citizenship ranging from the distinct possibility of duel US and British citizenship to him being naturalized because of his fathers well known British citizenship.

Obama's birth/citizenship status is similar to the controversy of another President, Chester A. Arthur the 21st Chief Executive whose natural born status was in question at the time of his rise in politics and even during his Presidency, yet nothing came of it until decades after he left office when much of the evidence of him being a naturalized and not natural born citizen came to light.

Unfortunately that is where we stand now with Barack Obama. The questions still swirl, the "conspiracies," abound and he has presented a long form birth certificate that has raised more questions than it answered from those who are known as, "birthers." Yet no matter which situation concerning Obama's birth is true, unless he is a natural born citizen without duel citizenship he has not met the strict Constitutional eligibility for being President.

So why have I gone through this explanation about all of the distinct possibilities that Obama is not and maybe never has been eligible to be President and yet titled this post, "Enough With The Obama Birth Certificate?" Because the issue no matter how legal or illegal it may be is a dead horse especially now that Obama has done the one thing that has been demanded by everyone from Donald Trump to the Americans known as birthers. He has presented, "a," birth certificate and taken the ball out of the court of the controversy surrounding it.

This does not mean that abandoning this issue means anyone is caving in to an unconstitutional usurper to the Presidency or to a liberal press that protects Obama at every turn. What it does mean is that there is a reality about the controversy that will prevent any pursuit against Obama's eligibility that will protect him until he leaves office regardless of any existing or new evidence that may or may not come to light.

The straight forward reality is even if Obama is ineligible to be President the fact that he has held the office for two and one half years will stop any legal action to remove him from office based on being ineligible. The exact same scenario that protected Chester Arthur during his Presidency will protect Obama for the remainder of his and that is the devastating ramifications it will have on our country and our government if he is truly found ineligible AFTER taking the Oath of Office.

Had Obama been properly vetted during the campaign, which he was not, and the citizenship issue scrutinized exhaustively then, which is was not, proving his eligibility or lack thereof would have been something that could have prevented his election to the Presidency. But his legal maneuvers and the protection of an adoring press stopped any serious pursuit even when the first questions were raised legitimately by the Clinton campaign. Yes, Bill and Hillary Clinton were the FIRST birthers.

Every story, even that of the Clinton's was treated as a laughable conspiracy and as such it did not become an issue during the campaign when it could have prevented someone possibly ineligible from taking office. Now that he is unfortunately President the fact that he IS President protects him from the citizenship issue removing him from office because no one wants to face the dire ramifications of possibly removing someone who never should have taken office in the first place.

First and foremost EVERYTHING he has done since taking the Oath would be null and void if his ineligibility to be President were to be proven without any doubt. That in itself would have worldwide ramifications nullifying treaties, his actions as Commander in Chief, all diplomatic initiatives and movements taken on behalf of his administration, nullifying EVERY appointment he has made from Secretary of State to the least Cabinet position or staff member including his two Supreme Court appointments.

This just scratches the surface of what would be null and void were he found ineligible this late in the game. A general collapse of The United States government would take place since all that he has done and everyone he has hired would be ineligible legally to hold much less fulfill their position as well as all legislation and Executive Orders he has signed since taking office.

As a result every move to push his eligibility will be treated as right wing lunacy even though the initial idea came from the left through the Clinton's. Any court with jurisdiction over Presidential eligibility will continue to find ways to refuse hearing any case presented because of the ramifications proving ineligibility now would have.

As with Chester Arthur the real truth about Obama's citizenship will not be known until some time in the future, if at all, when it will become an interesting foot note in our history. So continuing to make it an issue in which we fight for his removal only adds to the lefts willingness to protect Obama and their false charges of right wing lunatics just using race as a means to attack Obama.

Obama is such a failure as President and his polices have angered the majority of Americans in such a away that we will soundly defeat him on the issues regardless of his true eligibility as President. He has taken our country to the pit of an abyss that not only was never intended by our Founders but has even many of his former supporters scratching their heads and wondering, "what have we elected to the Presidency."

This issue is and has been a moot point since his taking office and now that he has presented an even very questionable birth certificate it moves from being moot to a useless pursuit at a time when we have so much evidence of his failure to defeat him and defeat him in a landslide in 2012. I know many of you would love to see him removed from office now before he has opportunity to destroy our Republic even more than he has. I too would love to see him gone now, but it is counter productive to waste our efforts on an issue no matter how true it may or may not be, has no possibility of ever advancing beyond the realm of conspiracy. It is time to move past the birth certificate and fight the battle we can win to defeat Obama in 2012.
