Here is a little political twist I composed based on the poem, "The Night Before Christmas." I hope you enjoy and Merry Christmas!
Twas the night before Christmas when in the White House , George Bush was snacking as quiet as a mouse.
While over in the Senate the libs scratched their heads, "What can we do to shake George from his bed?!?!?"
The Dems were all huddled in their left wing traits, with visions of Hillary for Prez in 2000 and 8.
Harry Reid in his 'kerchief with a frown on his face, keeps telling John Kerry, "I still think you won the race!"
When out on the White House lawn there rose such a clatter, George wolfed down his sandwich and Laura said, "Hey what's the matter?"
Bang, Pow, Boom, screech, Crunch, an old bus did appear and George said , "Secret Service, stand down I know why they're here."
The door opened wide and what did appear, but libs from the Congress, Oh and Teddy with a beer !
As he looked out more came, there was Pelosi and Reid and Murtha and Schumer to perform their dastardly deed !
The President stepped forward with a look of disdain as the libs said together, "We've come here to complain.
We gripe and we twist all your policies each day but on this Christmas night we've got much more to say.
You've lied to the people though we saw the same proof but to win in 06 we must lie through the roof."
Bush looked to the sky then he lowered his head for he knew in their whining he had nothing to dread.
He looked up and he smiled as he called each lib by name then he laughed and he laughed til they thought him insane.
"Mr. President," Pelosi said with a choke, "we've come here to gripe, do you think us a joke ?
We've come here to demand that the troops pull out, though we know it's a success we'll lie to take
YOU out !"
With a twinkle in his eye and and a proud tear on his cheek, Bush said, " I've listened to your lies week after week.
Our troops are the best and have a mission to win and nothing you say will force me to pull them in.
As for me the people have spoken and they decide our fate whether this year or next or in two thousand and eight."
The libs bowed their heads for they knew he was right and all that they said would just lose them this fight.
The people are tired of this liberal bash and this Christmas and next will we see through the trash !
As they boarded their bus in utter defeat knowing that George Bush would never sound retreat,
they heard him proclaim loud into the night, Merry Christmas to all, the US got this one
RIGHT !"
Merry Christmas !
