DEMOCRATS VS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

For the past three days I have posted about the Democrats and their agenda for the 08 election. Sunday concerned their agendas ultimate plan to move this Nation to Socialism. Tuesday concerned the promotion of the Health Care lie using very inflated statistics to claim that 47 million are without insurance. The final in this series about Democrats will show that in many ways their agenda actually pits them against the American people rather than being the champions that they claim.

Notice that in nearly every press conference or momentary comment for the cameras both Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi state after their rhetoric for the press something to the effect that not only do Democrats believe in whatever their subject matter is but so do , "the American people. " If I hear this, ( which I am sure I will), one more time I may loose my lunch.

Pelosi and Reid no more speak for the American people than OJ Simpson is an innocent man of anything! The arrogance of Democrats in thinking that they and they alone are the appointed guardians and voice of the American people is one reason that they have the gaul to promote much of what they try to pass in both the House and the Senate.

Their true agenda is more of an attack against the American people than a plan which will be to the benefit of the nation or her people. Let us look at some of their ideas.

Taxes - without exception Democrats believe that taxing the people is that answer to every , "problem, " that this nation faces. As they propose legislation that has a price tag to it or attempt to add new government programs their first instinct is to raise taxes. Always claiming that they are the champions of the poor and their tax increase is designed to tax the rich and favor the poor. All this actually does is promote hatred of the rich and punishes everyone who works SINCE THE RICH PROVIDE THE MEANS TO CRATE THE JOBS!

Then when the tax increase is actually studied everyone from the low income to the rich is effected by the increase and the only true beneficiary are the Democrats who proposed the legislation. While the GOP were not the greatest fiscal managers during their time as majority they never once even suggested raising taxes to pay for anything!

The Border - Democrats are notorious for claiming to be the champion of security but when the record is studied not only have they supported every bill designed to grant legal status to every illegal alien but have voted against legislation that is designed to increase border security and stop the flood of illegals.

Nearly every week legislation hits the floor of either the House or the Senate sponsored by Democrats that proposes yet another plan to give illegals the country by granting them legal status, putting them on the welfare roles, giving them drivers licence or some other nonsense that give 12 million law breakers a free ride in this nation with the goal by Democrats of creating another government dependent voting block for their candidates.

The War - while the war is weighing heavily in the hearts and minds of Americans, most understand the necessity of defeating the Islamic radical enemy and of completing the mission in Iraq. Though war weary the nation as a while does not want to pull our troops out without completing their mission.

Yet now almost daily Democrats propose one after another in a long and unending line of surrender measures which fall to defeat every time and then are brought up again with new wording but the same goal. To bring our troops home in disgrace, surrender to the Islamic enemy and threaten the security of the nation and her people.

Socialism - this has been written about in both of the preceding Democrat posts but deserves being mention again since moving this country toward Socialism is a direct attack against the American people. Our Constitution begins with the word, "We the people, " which means exactly what it says.

This nation belongs to the people not the government or the liberal politicians who wish to control our lives through socialistic government. They are answerable to us. They are hired by us through free elections and they are required by law to abide by the will of the people. Not to force the people into a growing dependency through Democrat government programs which are designed to enslave each citizen to an all powerful federal government.

Democrats are not for the people. They are for themselves and live in a world where power is a justifiable, (in their elitist minds) goal to reach and forcing the people of this nation to fall in line with not only their political dogma but become slaves to an absolute dependency on government with liberal Democrats at the helm of that government. That is why the 2008 election is an election that pits Democrats against the American people.

Excellent, Ken. I wish everyone could see through the Democrats as clearly as you do. If they did, we wouldn't have this problem because Democrats would be forced to change.

Our worst problem isn't the Democrats though. Our worst problem is liberal brainwashing, which is why so many Americans believe the Democrat's lies! Like you, I'm also beyond tired of hearing them speak for me! I am one of the American people and I don't believe anything they say. Correction: I do believe them when they say they will raise taxes. :(

Every time they claim to speak for the "American People" it's with the type of arrogance and superiority that sort of makes me feel like a house pet.

Don't lie to people. Here it is from your own Census Bureau (2005):

"Data released today by the Census Bureau show that the number of uninsured Americans stood at 45.8 million..."

Peter, that number as well as the 47 million number when broken down to its full measure and researched into the numbers ad wher they come from brings the same out come as listed in the preceding post. Maybe you should research numbers before buying into the infalted figures that are gathered for political purpose!

Strike out the 20 million illegal aliens, those qualifying for Medicaid but who refuse to apply and the rest who prefer to self pay and it's not the crisis Hillary and the neosocialists would have you believe.

Good of you to ask me to do my research, when you offer no research to support your argument. Here, now, I'm not afraid, I'll do it for you, there's a good boy (girl) ***pats their heads*** 37m,maybe less, Business and Media Institute articlehttp://www.businessandmedia.org/printer/2007/20070718153509.aspx

Ok, so the number might be less ("open to debate" says the article). So what if it's 37m, or 27m. IT'S STILL A LOT OF PEOPLE (idiot). So, we shouldn't have healthcare because it's "only" 10-15-20-27 million?

Why are you arguing the numbers, instead of the issue?

And since when is the Census Bureau political? They just count things (unless you're a conspiracy nut). Gee: Business and Media on one side of the scale...Census Bureau on the other. Business and Media on one side of the scale. Census Bureau on the other, I wonder on which side the politics might be on? D'uhhh.

20m illegal aliens: where's your research bud (mike's)? Seeing double, are we? If you're going to throw numbers, why not throw them all and look at all sides of the question BUT...NO!... we have to throw the numbers that HELP OUR SELF-INTERESTED CASE!

Gee, Bear Stearns on one side of the scale, Census Bureau on the other...Bear Stearns on one side of the scale, Census Bureau on the other... I wonder where the self-interest is. d'uhhh.

LOL! How old are you?

BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO PAY FOR ANY OF IT!

Why should I pay for another nitwit Liberal idea to suck more money out of me?

I have grown wrather fond of my money and am having a really rough time trying to figure out why I should have to part with any of it for everyone else's life?

I believe in "Personal Responsibility" and that DOES NOT include half my paycheck for those that have none!

marie -

From your comment, I'm not sure you're clear on the concept of insurance. The many each pay a little, so that the large bills, when they come, are looked after.

Your money isn't paying for someone else's services, it'll be paying for yours when you need them.

If you're lucky enough to be so well off that you can pay a few $100k for a major medical need, then godspeed, but then you're a minority and not representative of the best interest of your fellow citizens as a whole. And why should a majority suffer the arrogance of a minority - I'm sure you wouldn't stand for it.

By your reasoning we should do away with all insurance altogether, and every man for himself. So, if you are not a hypocrite, you should cancel all your insurance coverages, life, car, home, altogether.

Peter,

I understand the concept of insurance alright.

I'm interested in paying for MY OWN insurance.

If we have Nationalized Health Care/and/or/Socialized Medicine where do you think the burden of paying for all this is going to fall?

Right in the taxpayers lap, which I am one.

The majority of the people do NOT want this crap.

I dont expect the American taxpayer to pay for my medical needs and I shouldnt have to pay for thiers.

All you Liberals just want to do is drumb up some cockamaymee sceme to suck half my paycheck away from me, be it National Health Care, or Global Hysteria and I'm not signing up for this.

Where does this "half my paycheck" exaggeration come from?

If you do some analysis, you may find that rates for a national plan will be less than what you're paying for a private plan. Just from economy of scale it makes sense, doesn't it, that the smaller the group of the insured, the higher the premiums are?

Why would you think I'm a liberal (and really, what does that mean?...we eat the same food and shit the same shit. I might be your mother.) No, I'm just a Canadian and enjoying the benefits of our healthcare plan.

How much are you paying for your OWN insurance?

Peter,

I used to live in California. When you didnt have health care as I once didnt, you could go to this Hospital called Harbor General which has now been changed to Harbor UCLA Medical Center.

To see a specialist you had to wait at least 4 months. (Time enough to die)

Sure they paid all but 40.00 of the bill and the rest fell in the taxpayers lap.

That was 20 years ago and I'm sure not much has changed I imagine it has even gotten worse.

I watched people die on the floor of that hospital just waiting to get treated in the Emergancy room!

That was my first and last experience with Socialized Medicine.

If that is what we have to look forward to I dont want any part of it.

My health care plan allows me to see a specialist right away if need be or in some cases that arent that serious I only have to wait maybe 5 days to a week.

I bet you cant beat that in Canada!

And the thought of having to show proof of medical insurance just to get a job is astounding. What about the people that need a job just to afford to get health insurance? Will they be denied a job that they need in order to get health insurance that they cant pay for without one?

None of this makes any sense.

And trust me, you couldnt possibly be my mother she doesnt hold these crazy beliefs that the taxpayer need pay for other peoples Personal Responsibility.

If Peter is a Canadian enjoying the benefits of his own health care plan, then he's the only Canadian I've heard who says he is! I visit many Canadian bloggers and all of them hate it! Peter, go here and ask the blog owner, a fellow Canadian, what he thinks of your defunct health-care system: Canadian Sentinel

Marie is right. My health care plan also allows me to see any specialist I need to see right away. I don't have to get a reference from a health-care provider. All I have to do is call a specialist and make an appointment which I've always been able to get within two or three days. If there's an emergency I don't have to wait.

We don't want socialized medicine in our country or socialized anything else. If you're happy with it, fine. You obviously don't know any better.

In Canada it's not necessary to have proof of medical insurance to get a job.

There are Canadians who have poor opinions of our system, but then, nothing is perfect and, you can't please everybody.

The disparagement is exaggerated, and you only hear the disparagement becuse the satisfied majority is quiet. Isn't that the case with all things?

We do wait longer for specialists, but mainly becuse there are not enough of them. Many leave for the USA where they can make more money in your for-profit system.

Consider yourself lucky gayle. The enhanced access SOME people have in your country comes at a price of limited or no access to MANY. In Canada, while ALL may wait a little longer, we ALL have access.

Also consider that if you have a private policy, you are paying a for-profit insurance company. A large part of your premium goes into somebody's pocket.

Re: Canadian Sentinel. I looked at this. This is not representative of Canada. In fact it sounds like quasi-American neocon baloney. The writer may not even be Canadian: no name, no profile, no photo. Someone who wants to be taken seriously will show some credentials.
