OBAMA SLAMMED ON AFGHANISTAN FROM THE RIGHT AND THE LEFT
Barack Obama's weak and indecisive action in Afghanistan is receiving bad reviews from both the right and the left. Both are angered by the announcement of July 2011 as the beginning of Obama's left appeasing and liberal vote getting pull out no matter what the situation is on the ground.
The far left is angered simply BECAUSE he is sending troops. Of course they would only be satisfied if someone destroyed The United States and rebuilt it into a Marxist, "utopia." Which is why they like Obama because he is championing their cause.......at least until he decided to send more troops.
But even many liberal commentators are confused by the stupid policy of Obama in announcing the pull out. Here from the left is the first comments made on CBS by Bob Schieffer :
“I think … we’ll look back on this and say THIS WAS THE DEFINING MOMENT OF THE OBAMA PRESIDENCY. This was the night when Barack Obama took full ownership of the war in Afghanistan. We’re going to have 100,000 troops there, and more than half of them will have been sent there by the president. … How do you on the one hand say: ‘We need to send these troops over there; it’s critical; this is in our national-security interest to do this.’ But then say: ‘But we’re only going to keep them there for 18 months; we’re going to start to withdraw them after 18 months’? I just don’t understand the logic of how that works. It seems to me that what the president did tonight was try to make a speech that had a little something for everybody … I don’t understand, Katie, how you can set a deadline on what you’re going to do. This is not a football game, where the time runs out. To win this war, you have to defeat the enemy.”
And now for the response from the right the always brilliant Charles Krauthammer:
Many including Bill O'Reilly argue that when push comes to shove and July 2011 comes around and the job in Afghanistan is not finished, which will be the case, Obama will not begin the pull out as announced. Obama is a massive political animal and he knows that the only way he can receive the backing of the lefties in his party which are the base, is to pull out of Afghanistan. His pull out will take place because it will be politically expedient for his try at re-election.
Though the fall out here in our country is massive over Obama's strategy, there are thousands of Islamic rag heads in the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan who are praising Allah and dancing there fanatical jig in thanksgiving for the aid an comfort given to there fascist cause by Barack Hussein Obama. All they have to do now is sit back and wait until July 2011.
