SARAH PALIN WINS DEBATE AND VOTERS

The analysts are split on the result from the debate depending on their personal political leaning. The MSM says she was a success because she out did, "low expectations." Of course this coming from the same MSM that has been attempting with no success in scandalizing the Governor.

But where it counts, the opinion of the voters, Sarah Palin not only won but won big. The above video is a focus group of undecided voters gathered by Frank Luntz whose groups have been pretty much on the mark throughout this election.

Nearly all of the focus group gave the debate to Palin. Infact with the exception of only two questioned the impression of Governor Palin was that she convinced them that she was not only capable to lead but also was much more in touch with the American people.

Luntz considered this debate based on the focus groups reaction a game changer. Many in the group of undecideds are now committing to voting for the McCain - Palin ticket because of what they saw in the debate last night.

Palin was much more personable than the stiff and Washingtonian Joe Biden. When she spoke she would direct her rebuttals directly to Biden and then talk to the American people and she connected.

Palin hit cords that needed to be revealed in a large public setting like a debate. She was especially successful in pegging Obama and Biden as tax and spend liberals.

She did well on energy issues and had a grasp of the economic situation especially connecting with voters when she stated that , "I think we need to band together and say, never again." A direct reference to lenders who Palin described as taking advantage of the people.

She also hit a cord when she called for personal responsibility for individual financial situations.

She held her own on foreign policy and infact actually pushed several times to trun the debate discussion in a direction in which she wanted.

She put to rest the perception from the edited sound bites of the Couric and Gibson interviews that she did not know what she was doing. Last night not only rebuffed this falsehood but showed a very savvy, intelligent and informed Palin who is a leader.

Joe Biden for the most part was typical Biden without the gaffs that he has become so famous for. On strict debating points Biden because of detail most likely scored higher than Palin.

He did have a few blunders not the least of which was when he said Article I of the Constitution dealt with the Executive Branch in answer to a question about the responsibilities of the Vice President.

But in the all important impact on the voter which is what counts when it comes to any election, Sarah Palin scored big as she connected with the people and scored on the issues in a way the voters could identify with. Count this one a win for Governor Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin did an amazing job Ken, and even some liberal pundits have admitted it.

McCain needs to get tougher now. A lot tougher! He has to point out what Obama would do to the economy and he also needs to point out that this did not begin during the last two years - it bagan with the Carter administration. Sarah Palin can't carry this election by herself!

She certainly rocked the debate! She won by a landslide no matter how the MSM want to spin it. I must say besides his arrogance Biden didn't totally screw up like I thought he would! (and hoping he would)

She was feisty and connected with the viewers. She's real and that does make such a difference.

I agree with Gail that McCain needs to step it up now. She kicked started it, now McCain needs to run away with it and put it away for good. My mouth dropped when she came out with....."And I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I'm going to talk straight to the American people and let them know my track record also."

That was perfect!

Hahahaha...using Faux News coverage to support your views is pretty sad. You hit rock bottom and started to dig.

Sarah Palin didn't even participate in the debate...all she did was stand on her soap box and repeat bullets that were given to her, most of them not even related to the topics being dicussed.

Sarah Palin is a dumb as a bag of rocks and so is anyone who thinks she won the debate (Jennifer). If anyone (Jennifer) thinks Palin is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency then the dumbing down of America that we have heard so much about has certainly taken hold. And as for "getting a pair" (Jennifer) why doesn't John McCain get a pair and debate the issues, and come up with a plan for the economy instead of hiding behind racist attacks from Bobble Head Barbie (in Colorado today she said Barak Obama is "not like us" which the Associated Press said is clearly racist code) and running cowardly and false attack ads like the William Ayers nonsense which even the patron saint of the Republican party, Karl Rove, said is a mistake. Listen Jennifer, it's obvious why you like Palin, she is shallow and uniformed a description which I suspect could apply to others as well. Take some time, get informed, and then write your posts. That will be a lot better "You bethca" (wink)

Ken what VP debate were you watching? The only win Sarah Palin scored was the one she needed to do for her Republican base. As far as the rest of the American people, like me, Sarah didn't win a damn thing with those folksy comments and winks! I can't imagine this woman sitting down with another world leader and winking and avoiding to give straight answers to questions. I shudder in my shoes, thinking about Sarah "Plain" Palin running this country. She's folksy and relatable to the Republican party only, no one AA, Hispanic or Asian can even relate to this woman. I think you need to watch the debate again and get over you infaturation over Sarah Palin. But to be real, I understand the Republican party having to tote the company line and agree to VP pick for your party, because you too scared to speak the truth about McCain!!

What did she "win"? Wow. I guess that Democrats really do hold their leaders to higher standards than Republicans do...I guess that not falling flat on her face is something to be excited about? I'm sorry, I had high expectations for Biden and high expectations for Palin...Joe met those expectations..Sarah came up short.
