HILLARY CLINTON NO ROCKY BALBOA
First she was the second , "comeback kid, " now Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton claims that she is the Rocky Balboa of the 2008 Presidential race. Of course the fact that she is campaigning in Pennsylvania could have a lot to do with her choice of boxing comparisons.
Hillary made reference to a landmark found in Philadelphia in which Rocky Balboa always returned in every movie as he was making his triumphant rise to the next boxing match after over coming the adversity and strife that was a main stay in the Rocky movies. Balboa climbed the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and triumphantly raised his hands to the musical tones of, "Gonna Fly Now."
Clinton in comparing herself to Rocky and the calls for her to drop out of the race stated, if, “Rocky Balboa had gotten halfway up those art museum steps and said, ‘Well, I guess that’s about far enough.”......."Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people.”
I wonder if she was campaigning for her political life in Kentucky if she would have made reference to the fighting spirit of native Kentuckian Mohammad Ali. Or if the State had been Massachusetts the real, "Rocky, " Rocky Marciano ?
She may have the staying power of Rocky Balboa but Hillary Clinton's similarities to the famous movie character whose indomitable fighting spirit has moved audiences since 1976 ends there. Rocky Balboa was a movie character who loved his wife, stood by her through thick and thin and cared about those around him.
Rocky was good hearted to a fault, even tempered character whose rags to riches Cinderella story captured the heart and imagination of everyone who watched the movies. Hillary Clinton by all accounts of those who are closest to her is a ruthless, heard hearted politician who will do and say anything in order to get a vote.
Her temper tantrums and blow ups at the expense of those around her have been the subject of many a book and commentary by those who tired of her anger. Clinton unlike Rocky offers what she knows she cannot give unless it comes from the tax payers of this country. Rocky gave of himself and his personal riches only after he had acquired them through his own hard work.
Balboa's relationship and love for his wife Adrian was a center piece of all of the Rocky movies even the last one which took place after she had died of cancer. Clinton's relationship with her, "husband, " has always been for political convenience and show whenever either Bill or Hillary needed a photo opportunity showing them holding hands or looking, "romantic."
Since Hillary is now making movie character comparisons I'll add one of my own. The Clinton's relationship follows more closely to another movie character in the film, "Dave, " in which the President whose name is Bill Mitchell shows affection to his wife ONLY before the cameras but behind the scene both President and First Lady live separate lives and actually all but hate one another.
Rocky was a character whose fighting spirit and never quit attitude made him not only a movie legend but a movie hero. Hillary's , "fighting spirit, " which she claims is for the American people is actually a selfish fight for an office that she believes is her destiny. She will not quit because she believes as did her husband before her that the Presidency is the reason for her existence and the people nor any other candidate are not going to stop her from her quest for power.
Hillary will do or say anything to achieve that quest. Rocky fought hard for everything he achieved and even when he was down he stood with his head up high and never compromised who he was. Hillary will compromise her very soul if necessary to become President.
So to paraphrase a quote from Senator Lloyd Bentsen from the Vice Presidential debate during the 1988 campaign when Dan Quayle made reference to JFK and Bentsen called him on it in the now famous, "you're no Jack Kennedy, "quote........"Hillary, you're no Rocky Balboa! "

Rocky Balboa my royal hiney! LOL! Hillary continues to make a fool out of herself but she can't seem to stop lying. It's gotten so habitual with her she probably doesn't even know she's doing it.
The closet resemblance Hillary Clinton has to Rocky Balboa is that they are both fictional action heroes.
Rocky Pfft
She will claim she was the Baby Jesus if it will get her elected.
Both Hillary and Barack Obama are idiots that have no business even thinking about running this Country. They CANT! The dont have the expertiese while we are at war!
Maybe some other time when the war on terror has calmed down in 4 or 8 years, then maybe it might be time for one of those two, but to let them be in control of our Armed Forces In The Middle Of A WAR!! No Friggen Way!
They both gotta go!
Hillary Clinton surely is NOT "Rocky Balboa", but she is really, actually, in truth and in verity much more than the Rocky Balboa!
Hillary is NOT the "Comeback kid", but ask those who have tasted her razing retaliatory "Comeback", despite Eleven consecutive defeats !
Hillary is not all mouth, but concrete and really rare substance, experience, vista and vision to envision and efficiently plan ahead to efficiently lead the world in global affairs !
The US press is categorically confirming that Obama has changed his (own original) Approach which means has started pursuing, following and imitating Hillary. Is it not the real recognition and ratification of her (meaning Hillary's) competence, capability, proficiency and superiority in expertise, vision and the essential intrinsic leadership ingredients.
I think we have learned a lot more about Hillary these past twelve months, certainly enough to suggest she would do anything and everything she can, to get to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, DC. Even as you suggest, compromise her very being...
