RNC OUT RAISING DNC
For the pundits and the media who are making such a big deal concerning the amount of money that is being raised by Hillary and Obama in comparison to the GOP top candidates, Giuliani, Thompson and Romney, let's take a look at support for the respective parties.
The DNC currently has raised $40, 515, 398 and spent $40, 971, 526 with only $3, 254, 172 left in the coffers. The RNC on the other hand has raised, $63, 059, 613 and spent, $49, 624, 201 with $16, 534, 630 left in the coffers.
As a life long Republican, I know from experience that GOP members wait until after the primaries to start sending funds to the candidate and nominee in large numbers. Also the fact that the RNC has out raised the DNC by, $23, 000, 000 dollars with more than $13, 000, 000 more still on hand says quite a lot about which party is truly receiving the people's support.

You mean, we are going to wait to spend all our (RNC) money for when we have a candidate to support and one to go after? What a concept.
Alot of folks were so fed up with runaway spending a GOP leadership that appeared tone deaf on immigration that they stopped giving.
Now that these issues have been addressed and people have seen how screwed up Pelosi and Reid have made things they will start giving again.
And once we start, we won't stop!
Not to forget that many of the DNC's contributors are suspect, Ken. Chinese dishwashers? Give me a break!
What Gayle said lol
Chinese dishwashers LMAO!
Ken, you are missing key numbers from your post.
The Dems are blowing away the Republicans in fundraising.
Most of the congressional and senate campaigns are not funded by the DNC or RNC, they are funded by the parties' respective campaign committees (i.e., the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the National Republican Campaign Committee).
Youa are correct that the RNC outraised the DNC in September, but that is only part of the story. The DSCC outraised the NRSC in September by $2.4 million. The DCCC outraised the NRCC by more almost $6 million.
The DSCC has $22.8 million cash on hand, compared to just $8.3 million for the NRSC. It's even worse for the Republicans in the House. They only have $1.6 million on hand, compared to the Dems who have $28.3 million on hand.
So when you look at all of the FEC reports, you can see that the Dems outraised the Republicans by more than $6 million in September alone. They have been outraising the Republicans for months, which is why the total cash on hand for the Dems in September was $54.4 million. The total for Republicans was $26.4 million.
None of this includes the fact that the Democratic presidential candidates are raising 2-3 times the amount of the Republican candidates.
