OBAMA' S BOGUS LAW SUIT OVER ARIZONA'S IMMIGRATION LAW
"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding." Article VI, section II The United States Constitution
The Obama administration filed suit in a Phoenix Federal Court yesterday against the State of Arizona over its recently signed but not implemented immigration law. Stating the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution which is located at the top of this post, The Justice Department states in the suit that, "The nation's immigration laws reflect a careful and considered balance of national law enforcement, foreign relations, and humanitarian interests," and as a result the Arizona law violates the Constitution since the Supremacy Clause states that federal law trumps state law.
Unless the Obama administration manages to find an extremely activist liberal Judge to try this case is it destined to lose because of the fallacy of their argument. While the Supremacy Clause does hold that federal law trumps state law and Constitutionally according to Article II, Section 8 the Congress has responsibility for all laws concerning, "Naturalization," where the Obama suit will fail is that the Arizona law is not creating any law which violates the federal authority but only allowing for the state to enforce already EXISTING federal law concerning immigration.
If Arizona had legislated new immigration law that did not already exist on the federal level then the Obama case would have merit. But the Arizona law simply enforces existing law and as a result it does not violate any aspect of the Supremacy Clause since the law it is enforcing already exists on the federal level. Arizona is not exceeding federal law just enforcing it.
Every state has the right to protect its citizens when threatened and Arizona is facing a massive threat to is citizenry due to the problem they are experiencing along their border with Mexico. The federal government has failed miserably in enforcing immigration law and as a result Arizona has done nothing more than step in where the feds have failed to act.
Barack Obama through this unjustified law suit is showing the American people that enforcing immigration law and securing our borders in not a concern for his administration. This suit is nothing more than a political move in a election year to court the Latino vote for the November mid-terms. Even when the suit fails as it should since no Constitutional law has been violated, Obama can claim to Latino voters that he at least tried so Democrats , "deserve, " their vote. I hope Latino voters are not fooled by this ignorant political move to buy their vote with a court case filed to get headlines.

Let us not forget that the Federal Government has put in place a system for all county, state and federal law enforcement officers to verify those legally in the US.
If doing these checks were a problem then why would the government implement a system for just that?
