LINDSEY GRAHAM WE HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU
I have reached my point of no return with Senator Lindsey Graham. I have long be disgusted with this RINO who has no backbone and waves his so called, "principles," whenever he thinks is is politically expedient. In 2004 when this blog was first started, Oliver Benton was a regular contributor and since because of a heavy schedule has not been posting for quite a while.
As one of my best friend though we still discuss politics on a regular basis and following is an e-mail that I sent to Graham from Oliver and myself informing this Senator that he no longer represent South Carolina or we who sent him to Washington. I have sent many e-mails to Graham and on three occasion in expressing my anger at his actions he has written a personal letter to me trying to explain his actions. This time I could care less if he responds because what he has to say is of no account since he no longer represent Oliver and I in any way.
Here is the e-mail:
Senator Lindsey Graham
Washington, DC
Dear Senator Graham,
We have had it with you. In the last two elections you have received our vote as the Republican nominee for your Senate seat in the State of South Carolina. In the last election, 2008 we reluctantly voted for you because there was no other alternative except the Democrat candidate who we could not vote for. Rest assured that 2008 is the last vote we will cast for you regardless of whether you are the GOP nominee for your seat in 2014 or not.
We would rather leave the selection of Senator blank on the ballot than waste another vote for you again. You no longer represent us or the State of South Carolina. You have betrayed the conservative platform in which you have campaigned in two election cycles and as a result we cannot in good conscience cast another vote which may help keep you in Washington.
You betrayed us when you joined the gang of 14 trying to usurp the Constitution by gathering other Senators who ignore the Constitution as you do and attempting to diminish the Constitutional responsibility which belongs to any President to nominate judges to the federal bench from the Supreme Court down to the lower courts.
You betrayed us when you worked with John Kerry in creating an unconstitutional energy bill which dictates through government how a business operates from an energy stand point and through the taxation known as, "cap and trade," that your bill will create, Americans from all walks of life will pay through the nose for energy costs so that you, John Kerry and others who have bought into the lies of Global Warming can appease leftist environmentalists and have your day in the sun as the tree huggers and their Main Stream Media cohorts praise you for this illegal legislative debacle.
There have been many other betrayals but your sole GOP backing of current Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan is the straw that breaks the camels back. I do agree with you that a President has the authority to nominate who he pleases and that is a consequence of elections. But the responsibility of the Senate Constitutionally is to advise and consent in such a way that assures the American people that a judicial nominee will adhere to the strict Constitutional definition of the judiciary. Applying the law ONLY as it is written without prejudice and without using ANY political ideology in their judicial decisions.
Kagan's history is one of total leftist political ideology in every position she has held. Her writings express this ideology, her decisions as an attorney and as an educator while Dean of the Harvard Law School clearly show that she could care less about Constitutional principles and if confirmed she will be an activist judge who rules on political ideology rather than Constitutional law and the strict definition of a jurist of The Supreme Court.
Her answers while somewhat vague to the various questions asked of her during Senate hearings show this to be true and yet you who claim to be a conservative and who also claim to believe that a judge should not be activist and follow strict Constitutional principles became the lone Republican to say yes to Kagan and then say that a President deserves to have his nominee appointed. You did not believe this when you joined the gang of 14!
Mr. Graham you have lost our confidence our support and most importantly our vote. As we have already stated but state again for emphasis, even if you are the nominee in 2014, while we will not vote for the Democrat candidate as their ideology consistently disagrees with our conservative values, we choose to leave the Senate box blank on the ballot rather than waste another vote on you. You are a great disappointment and have betrayed the people of South Carolina and the Nation.
Sincerely,
Ken Taylor and John Oliver Benton.

The problem is that Lindsey knows that there is unlikely to be a solid GOP primary challenge to him anytime soon.
Unfortunatly you are right Mike, but I will not waste another vote on him again. I would rather leave the box blank than personally help him saty in DC.
