DEMOCRATS REVEAL THEIR TRUE TAX AGENDA
Using the bailout situation with AIG, Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer from New York revealed the truth behind the tax plans of liberals. In case you have not heard AIG has issued $165 million dollars in bonuses to many of their employees while receiving bailout money from taxpayers under the TARP program.
This of course angers many in Washington and throughout the country as most consider this an abuse of money that should not have been used as bailout to an entity that failed to use sound business practices. Plain and simple bailout rewards failure.
While the millions in bonuses anger many, Democrats are attempting to use this situation to press forward with tax programs that endanger all Americans and not just those who have received the bonuses. Schumer stated on the Senate floor that if the individuals did not return the bonus that legislation will be put forth to tax the bonuses at 100%.
Now to many who are angered by this it may sound like an bold and brave idea, but in actuality if Democrats are allowed to get away with this it opens the door to a flood gate of similar taxes for any reason that liberals deem a detriment to the American people.
Using the AIG situation as the catalyst to 100% taxation for most any entity that Democrats wish to vilify as unfair or un -American. FDR attempted this in the 1930's. $25 thousand dollars was considered a high income at the time and FDR actually proposed to the Congress that all income above $ 25 K be taxed at 100%. Thankfully the Senate Republicans defeated the measure and FDR did not try it again.
If Democrats are allowed to write legislation to tax any income at 100% you can bet your bottom dollar that it will hold provisions allowing them to use this taxation anytime they see fit and not just with the AIG bonuses. Regardless of how this may anger Americans, allowing the Democrats in Congress this type of free hand is a dangerous precedence and should not be allowed to happen.
Since Obama took office both he and his liberal cronies have used the economic crises as a reason to push through excessive spending, massive government expansion and socialist programs that thus far have been unchecked because of the scare tactics used to gain support for the largest transfer of power to the federal government in history.
And now Schumer and his fellow liberal Democrats are attempting to hide their failings at scrutiny with the bailout money and providing them a catalyst to tax anything at 100% whenever liberals decide it is a detriment to their agenda. Dangerous for Americans and dangerous for America.

I totally agree with your point of view. "A field commander who would sacrifice the well being of his troops would face a courts marshal for this type of offense" Obama qualifies.

An interesting sidenote: Apparently the White House is trying to blame the AIG bonus scandal on Sen. Dodd when it was actually the WH and Treasury Dept. under Geithner who insisted that the bonuses must be paid.

This guy is even more incompetant than his bos and that is pretty bad!
Between the smokescreen of caring about $165 million when you have BILLIONS going out the back door, I think the dems are doing some misdirection...and it is working.
Remember, these are the same people that were actively thinking about making vets get their own private insurance to save govt money.
