BARACK OBAMA'S FIRST PRESS CONFERENCE......SORT OF
The new President Elect is holding his first post election press conference and we have managed to acquire a transcript, ( sort of, actually I made it up), of Barack Obama's pre-televised remarks to reporters. Here is what Obama had to say to the press before the cameras started rolling.
"Thank you for coming today and before we begin this live press conference I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to each of you in the press whose tireless assistance in getting me elected is a big reason that I stand before you as President Elect. I especially wish to thank NBC, CBS, MSNBC, ABC, The New York Times, The LA Times and the Chicago Tribune for you exceedingly endless efforts in positive reporting that was essential in my election.
As a token of my appreciation to each of you who made this day possible, I am issuing a check from the left over funds from the massive campaign war chest that was acquired during the course of campaign. Just my way of saying thanks for all of your hard work on my behalf and to thank you in advance for your continued support during the next four years. "
Reports from the press conference also confirmed that seven reporters fainted from excitement when Obama entered the room, three had to receive oxygen as they hyperventilated from excitement and 45 fell as the tingle running down their leg, medically known as the Chris Matthews effect, caused them to lose balance.
Obama's newly appointed Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, prior to the President Elect entering the press room was seen having a very heated discussion with reporters from Fox News and we have learned that they received a stern warning from Emanuel concerning the content of their coverage and the," Democrat Assassin," jabbed a steak knife, one of his better known intimidation tactics, in the Fox camera to stress his warning.
As Obama left the press room after the press conference many reporters found themselves overjoyed to the point of tears, while several reporters who Obama pointed out in order to accept their question stated that they could not believe that he actually pointed at them and that the pointing was the high point of their life, a moment they will never forget.
Writers note: of course this is a tongue in cheek account of an Obama press conference but I'll bet that reporters who have been obviously in the tank along with their papers and networks during the course of the campaign, if truth be known if one could view what was running through their mind while in his presence, the tingle would be there as it was reported months ago by Chris Matthews.

show some hope and support for the new president. Don't start complaining even before the guy breaks a glass in the white house.
Ken Taylor you make a living by spewing hate.
Sort of? What the heck is that supposed to mean?
Come on you two get a life and a sense of humor!
Why does everyone keep using the "liberal" press as one of the many excuses for the results of this election? Do you think if you say it enough times and for long enough that people will believe it? Not conservative is not equal to liberal.
LOL! Gee Ken! How wonderful to be pointed at by Obama! I wonder if those reporters got a thrill running up their legs? Or was it a "chill"? Whatever.
Loved the post. That's exactly what he should have said because it's the truth.
I haven't posted anything new. Just taking a bit of time to visit.
Blessings!
Heehee! Good Stuff! Where can I find a chill?! I may have to wait 4 more years huh? Oh well...
I would have thought the Obama remark about Nancy Reagan and a seance was fiction too but I heard him say it.
Oh and this was funny:
"show some hope and support for the new president. Don't start complaining even before the guy breaks a glass in the white house.
"
Yeah, I'll bet that's what you were doing in November 2000. It's 8 years too late to start lecturing any of us on manners or the need for unity. Go F*** yourself.
