SO WHOSE ECONOMIC POLICY IS BETTER FOR EMPLOYMENT
Since taking office Barack Obama has claimed many things that have been shown to be lies. Among those are, he, "will not rest," until the unemployment situation is ,"fixed." He has also blamed President Bush and the GOP for all of the economic woes that have caused unemployment to rise as significantly as it has.
According to Obama liberal Democrat policy is the ONLY way that our economy is going to recover and unemployment numbers will begin to drop. He claims that the government under these liberal policies will create enough jobs to employ the unemployed. Of course sane people understand that the government cannot and does not create any job. The private sector creates jobs and until that sector has financial relief in the from of less taxation and a growing economy that is not being constantly manipulated by government, the private sector WILL NOT start hiring enough to cause employment numbers to drop significantly if at all.
So whose policy then consistently provides a better economic atmosphere for business and hiring? Taking a look at the graph above starting with the GOP majority in Congress in 1995 after the sweep which took place in the 1994 election, unemployment stayed at or below 6% with several years hovering around 4% which is considered by most economic experts as full employment for the Nation.
Contrast this with the Democrats moving into the majority in 2007 after the 2006 election and notice the unemployment numbers ONLY rising until the slight dip down which has just recently taken place because of the hiring of thousands of temporary Census workers. As Democrat economic policy began taking over even under the administration of a Republican President unemployment constantly rose.
Then after the 2008 election and the continuation of a Democrat majority in Congress combined with a liberal/Marxist President in The White House having a free reign with liberal economic policy of massive spending, tremendous deficits and unending debt the unemployment numbers not only rose but SKYROCKETED through the roof with no end in sight as even the latest dip includes over 650,000 who have just given up looking since jobs are so scarce. If those more than half a million were included unemployment would have gone WELL over 10%.
I am not by any means defending the out of control spending that took place especially in the last few years of a GOP majority but even at their worst the GOP economic policy did not create the massive unemployment caused by unsustainable deficit spending as we have experienced since Democrats became the majority in 2007 and took the Presidency in 2009.
Facts and statistics do not lie even though Obama and other liberal politicians who claim that their policy is improving the economy and creating jobs do lie as they try to spin that spending, borrowing and debt creation is the best and only way to recover an economy. Nancy Pelosi actually had the gaul to claim that unemployment benefits are the BEST stimulus and job creator. She is obviously as crazy as she looks.
We have watched the decline of Europe as these liberal spending policies have been practiced for decades. Europe is beginning to understand the destruction this economic policy causes and in the last G20 conference Barack Obama stood alone calling for MORE spending to stimulate economies while most of Europe called for cutting spending and balancing budgets.
The graph and liberal destructive economic policies speak for themselves. Cutting taxes and spending has proven to be the best job creator as it allows private business to grow spawning hiring though business expansion. Obama is blind to this truth and as long as he has a Democrat majority to legislate his government growth, deficit spending agenda unemployment will continue to rise and jobs will also continue to disappear.
