OBAMA CALL FOR COMPROMISE ON STIMULUS A LIE

Speaking to House Democrats at a luxury resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, Barack Obama not only never spoke of compromise or bipartisanship concerning the," stimulus," package but condemned those who oppose it and praised House Democrats for putting together this now 920 billion dollar spending bill.

All of this at a retreat for House Democrats that is costing the American taxpayer more than 100 thousand dollars to allow Dems to golf , party and partake in gourmet food for a weekend retreat at our expense.

In reference to cries about the massive pork spending included in the bill, Obama said what legislation does not have ,"earmarks," in it. Thus giving his approval to the excessive and ridiculous spending Democrats have included in the bill.

Obama has been praised by Democrats and the press for ,"reaching out," to Republicans during this process to try and pass this socialist style bill. Yet not once has he consulted with conservatives in order to consider thier ideas.

The Republicans he has talked with concerning possible compromises are selected RINO's like Susan Collins of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania. All who have a history of siding with Democrtas on many issues.

Listen to the above clip carefully and you will hear a man who does not seek compromise, does not care about bipartisanship, and only wants to spend this country into greater debt and a weaker economy.

His goal is to pass this socialist bill regardless of what the American people think who in recent polls overwhelmingly are opposed to this pork filled, non-stimulating socialist spending package that will only deepen the problem and rob the people of hard earned income!

The people and media are afraid to speak the truth. Trust is no longer an issue with constituants of this country, we are way beyond truth. We want results. Results that we can see. They are actually confirming, what I knew election day, would come to pass.POLITICS AS USUAL. Democrats and Republicans alike, are for saving their own butts, ie. campaign funding and special interests, as always. No matter how many times the people call and say NO to this type of spending,(perfect example, overwhelming calls to turn down the TARP funding came in, on Monday some listened, and when the Democrats waived a few sugar coated goodies in front of a few Republicans on Friday it passed. They never listen.
How about if all the taxpayers call congress, and the President, and tell them to give all of our tax dollars back to us , that we refuse to allow them to have our money, to go ask their special interest groups , and campaign financers to fund their crap they want to pay for. Millions of us calling, and demanding money be directly handed back to us, THAT MIGHT GET THEIR ATTENTION!!!! This is our money not theirs. They should not only take time, they should take time to listen to the people thaat pay their salaries!!! Hopefully everyone will remember their names come reelection time, espescially Nancy Pelosi, Christpher Dodd, Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Arlen Spencer, and MS. Snowe, and Ms. Collins, just to name a few. Congressmen and women, you better start listening to the people, YOUR future depends on it!!!!

Take notice to those Staunch Republicans.

It is unfortunate for those of us loosing economic holdings to put up with those “Staunch Republicans” and their twisted truths and distasteful posturing. It saddens me to see our country going into financial ruin to and see so called republican politicians, who by the way CREATED this economic situation, still beat the drum on how well they did. We have come full circle and if the republicans still do not get it then we should VOTE them out of office. The President BUSHS’, yes both of them, have been deceptive and manipulative to the owners of the United States. That is us, the American people. The American dream has been literally stolen from us specifically by George W. Bush and his sides kick Dick Cheney.

Programs like Limbaugh radio and Fox News made me realize how far off target the republicans truly are and we should act on this thinking by not voting for those fogies. I am not trying to say that all republicans are that way, but rather you judge for yourself. Watch a non-bias televised news channel(s) - read a non-bias newspaper. See for yourself what politicians are working for improving this country. For myself I see the republicans standing firm and twisting the truths, same old - same old, and just trying to make a statement about REPUBLICANS standing firm and doing absolutely NOTHING of value.

Marxism is on it's way. All the posts I wrote warning of this have gone unheeded. Now it is upon us. My dire predictions are coming true right before our eyes. Is there nothing we can do? Not with Democrats and weak spineless Republicans in Congress. God help us.

I agree with eyesongov1 congress should give the money back to the people. we are the ones that has suffered the loss and will continue to suffer. I lost everything I had in my 401K WHY CAN'T the goverment give back to the people. If the american people had money to spend there would be fewer layoffs more cars sold, furniture bought etc.Congress is as shameful as Citi Bank. I think it's about time they (CONGRESS) should give up their fat raises and perks. Will the stimulus package save jobs, create jobs I don't it. It is wasteful and the mexicans will be the ones working
not americans.

The president is not working for the people at this time...just his EGO....he said he would go over any bill line by ...obviously if he did....he has no idea what the people want...and if he didn't read line by line...he has gone back on another promise....in the bill it has clause to hire MORE GOVERMENT WORKERS......our economy is bad....most have to lay off.....he plans on hiring...we can't afford to pay their wages, retirements and vacations......we need LESS GOVERNMENT.....NOT MORE

I think you all should look back a few months and look at the bigger picture. If wall street had been doing a better job addressing issues in public with a open face, instead of hiding behind a desk and posting excuses instead of reasons, we not be in as big of a crisis as we are right now. Take a TIP out of Barack's book. Stand up and call out the mistakes instead of beating around the bush.

I think that since the govt. is basically broke, all senators, the president, and congressmen should not get paid until some type of stimulus is passed. Also, what good is a tax cut if no one is working and has no income from which to with hold taxes.

Yep, let's just continue with what's already failed, more tax cuts, more free rides for corporations, more cronyism! That's the ticket! Never mind that it's given us our latest depression. After all, this is all FDR's fault!

And after eight years of massive deficits annually, now, 18 days after Obama taking office, you wake up and question "where's the money going to come from?" You could be taken a little more seriously if there had been questions before. Since there were not, how can honestly expect to look like anything but fools?

Do you neo-cons EVER think about what you say? Republicans are like talking dolls. Just pull the string and out comes the prerecorded message.

This "stimulus" bill is nothing but wasteful spending and earmarks. the only ones who will benefit are the special interest groups that obama claims that he wants to shut out. typical democrat who wants to tax and spend.

we had a $170 million inauguration party when people are out of work and losing their homes. It was very bad taste to have this extravagance that we will pay for most of. boy if bush did something like this the liberals would be all over him.

to the liberal commentors: do your research. george bush did not bring the housing crisis down upon us. why don't you read about Franklin Raines role in this. Barney Franks was in charge of Fannie and Freddie which were never privately run but Government Subsidized Enterprises. How about Chris Dodd ? How about giving loans to people who can't afford them or be hit with massive government fines ? why did obama sit in congress for two years and do nothing proactively about this problem ?

capitalism works when not over-regulated. It may not be perfect but I take it over socialism any time. quit blaming the corporations obama and look at your spending. cut back on the size of government and we will be more efficient and save a lot of money.

the problems we face today are a direct result of our unfortunate transformation to socialism. it does not work well in other countries but we have the media and the liberals pushing for this. capitalism is the reason this country is where it is but somehow we are losing our identity and not remembering our roots.

I wish the republicans were more conservative but at least they are standing in the way of this bill and hopefully they can stop it. otherwise it will mean even more stagnation of our economy. we can't spend our way out of a recession and what we are planning on spending on is garbage !

$200 million for contraceptives ? $150 million for the Smithsonian ? $7.7 billion for Federal Buildings ? are you kidding me ?

It saddens me that the Republicans are apparently going to go along with this thievery. Make no mistake---the Democrats are not interested in owning this ill conceived thievery, and wisely so. We know from this past November how dumb the American voter is; but still, over time, like a dumb animal can still see the truth eventually. They are having their pockets picked by this fraud.
