SOUTH CAROLINA REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
The debate is underway from the Koger Center. The candidates are giving general response answers to questions concerning Iraq and reduction in government spending. A few answers have stood out above others but as a whole most answers are in the sofball catagory. Dancing around straight answers while touting records.
We will be going to the Spin Room here at the Koger Center for one on one interviews with as many candidates as possible. This will give us opportunity to get some straight answers on hard questions.
There will be a full report tomorrow on the debate and as many reports as necessary to cover the interviews that take place after the debate.

Rudy did well. Ron Paul is a clown. McCain shot himself in the foot again with his insistence that waterboarding is torture but he would do it anyway.

That is funny Marie. I said the exact same thing in my article today. I a ashamed that this man is a Representative of my wonderful state.
To answer mudkitty: I do not think there was a clear cut winner. I do belive that there were some definite strides made by some of the more minor candidates (less Ron Paul) and not enough solid strengths brough out by the front runners.
If anything, I think that this race may now even be closer than what it was before.
One of these guys needs establish himself as the fore runner or this is going to be a long primary.
CCC - why do you answer my question, but alway proclaim that you don't take me seriously - and are always questioning my reasoning? Why bother?

Like I said, the only winner of the last two debates was anyone not there, and that includes the audience, who clapping sounded so canned, and the station that hosted the debate.

His dumbass switched parties so he might have a shot at the Presidency. You know what little name recognition he is getting.
I dont think it will be to long before he has to throw in the towel due to lack of funds.

mudkitty, I answer your questions because I am not afraid to, umwilling to or incapable of doing so. I answer your questions because I enjoy open and honest debate amoung people of different ideologies.
You will also notice that I typically do so in a respectful and non personal manner, until such a time as that courtesy is not returned.
