LOUISIANA RECOVERY - BUSH FINDS BACKING FROM AN UNUSUAL SOURCE

Former Al Gore political consultant Donna Brazile, a key member of the campaign that tried to defeat Bush in 2000, has come out publicly backing and praising the President concerning the Katrina recovery program and effort. I listened to part of an interview with Brazile yesterday on the Shaun Hannity radio program and was somewhat skeptical about how true her support was. As I listened to the interview and her reasons for backing the President I began to change my tone. It turns out that New Orleans is her home and she has a great deal of family effected by the storm. This usually leftist partisan political babe actually praised Bush for all that he has done and for the reconstruction program that has been proposed. She said that she was proud of the President and offered her support by stating, "Mr. President, I am ready for duty. Let's roll up our sleeves and get to work." For the racists who have claimed that Bush let the blacks in New Orleans suffer, Donna Brazile is black and condemns those who choose to play the race card. One could only wish that her political cronies would follow her example but alas liberals don't have it in their agenda to put aside partisan politics to be an American and not just a Democrat, Ms. Brazile is the exception and good for her.
