TEMPORARILY AWAY

This morning an accident occurred that resulted in my waking to a car in my front porch. The driver was not injured but my porch and the telephone and cable junction box for the area is gone. She was rear ended while turning left and hit the gas then hit my house.

I am using a friends computer to post this because my DSL is gone and will be down until the phone company comes to replace it. So needless to say posting will be delayed until then. Thanks for your understanding and hope to be back soon.

Ken

  6. Wow, sorry to hear that, Ken.

I've read about that kind of thing happening (car coming out of street, striking house), but never saw it or knew anyone it happened to.

Like Gayle said, I'm glad no one got hurt!

  7. Sorry about your house. Glad to hear you and the driver is ok. Did you double check to see if the driver that hit her was not someone from the left trying to get you offline?

PS-Calm down MK and Rob, it is a joke.

  8. Thanks to all of you for your concern and thoughts. The Driver is fine and as you can see things are getting back to normal sort of. The front porch is demolished and a small indention in the side of the house. I have to wait for the adjuster to some, some time within two weeks, before I can begin clean up.

Funny item. I have a Civil War chess set which sits below a book case. The wreck caused one of the books to fall and ironically it tipped one Union soldier but totally knocked down ALL of the Conferates. To which a friedn remarked, "Dern the South just can't win at all!" A little humor to an otherwise wierd day!~

  10. How does someone hit the gas after being rear ended?

    How old was the driver?
